Jonathan and Malcolm have an established relationship. At the time of these events, Enterprise has been in the past timeline for approximately thirteen years. This is Jonathan's voice.
Malcolm carefully puts the finishing touches on the elaborate sandcastle he's been building all afternoon with our daughter. Or for her. No matter - it's a masterpiece of an Irish castle perched on a rock, surrounded by a wide, deep moat. He couldn't quite manage a drawbridge, but explains how one would work.
Madelyn nods, handing him another bucket of water for the moat. But I see the quizzical tilt of her head - she has a question.
"What is it, angel?"
"What's to stop anyone from attacking from the sky?"
Too wise for her years, our child born among the stars.
