Hazel's long birthday things...

It all started on Thursday of last week, Hazel woke me up by ringing me at 9:30am! Way too early. Anyway, I got ready, packed, and went to her house for 11ish. We sorted lots of things out but generally just lazed around all day. Then came to six, we met up with Dan, Natalie, Jen and Dave and walked down to Redhill station, got a train to Crawley which Graham and Ross got onto at Horley. Then we walked to Brannigans, I had a Macdonalds because I was starving as Hazel eats so little during the day. We went in at about 8:30, the bouncer on the door checking everyone's ID, except Hazel's! Injustice! It was entry + all drinks all night for £10 for guys £8 for girls. So we started fast. Only single shots were allowed so Ross thwarted this system by having a single shot of vodka, downing it then asking for another, and repeating that process several times. It soon got very busy and was very hard to get drinks so Graham gave one of the bar maids a fiver so she would serve us first, which was a very good idea and worked quite well. Then the foam started...they sprayed foam all over the dance floor and it was just like being in a swimming pool standing up with lots of people dancing around, very very funny, lots of fun was had. We met Sara, Sara's sister, Sara's boyfriend and Sara's sister's boyfriend and Sara's sister's friend inside a bit later :p Much fun was had by all. Everyone got exceedingly drunk and did silly things, Dave was being very stupid, dancing like a townie hehe, Hazel pulled a barman who she then stood up the following day! Two disposable cameras of films were taken during the entire night, so they should be very good when they are developed. Hazel's step dad picked us up when the club closed at 1:30am. Very nice of him.

Friday day came and went with very little activity. Again we met people at six and went to the train station for about seven. We got a train to kingston, changing at clapham junction. We went to The Works in Kingston, which turned out to be a very big club with lots of areas for dancing and chatting. Though the drinks were quite expensive, so more money was spent than at Brannigans. There was a live show though with a band that sang and danced and then there was a talent show where the band randomly picked girls from the crowd and told them to come up and dance so they all made fools of themselves or showed how well they could dance. There was one girl who was a rubbish dancer so the crowd booed to her, so she told them to give her 2 CDs which she stuck on her nipples then she got a cheer. Ahh much amusement. Much fun was again had by all. The only bad part of the evening was when the club closed we were waiting outside for Tony to come but he wasn't coming and his phone was out of range. We rang the house phone nine times and eventually at 3:50am he picked up the phone, was very apologetic and then came and got us at about 4:20am. We got home at about 5 and warmed up!

Saturday was the house party. All the day time was spent in preparation with cocktails and everything set up to be made. There was lots of sweets and food as well. The evening itself was excellent, with a good mix of students and adults who were all friendly. Much was drunk by most people. I spent a lot of the evening playing with Emma, a 10 year old girl who likes to call me her boyfriend (I helped Hazel babysit her a week or so earlier so she already knew me before the evening) much to the amusement of everyone else who took the piss and I just laughed and had fun. Eventually she fell asleep through exhaustion, and her parents took her home. About this time people started playing a stripping game with ice. Lots of people stood in a circle and threw a large lump of ice to each other and if someone dropped it then the forfeit was to take off an item of clothing, which was mostly amusing though not that good as no one was drunk enough to get naked. Then people started to leave mostly and the tents were setup, I got my foam bed from Hazel's bedroom and set it up on the stage outside and lay down to sleep. Of course I wasn't allowed to - nine people sat on me nine times. Much conversation and amusement was had during this time though, including for some random reason lots of people chanting "wanker" then I sat up and said, "Did someone say my name?!" Eventually, around 5:30am Hazel and Sara went upstairs to sleep and I packed up my stuff and went home with Steve and Carlos. We finally got to sleep at around 6:30am and mum woke me up at 11:30 for work at 12! Was so tired. Anyway, it was very enjoyable and I recommend this to anyone as a way to celebrate any birthday! :) Hope everyone had as much fun as me!
