Alas, regular internet access again! Got back from summer holiday today, or rather I got back from the countryside, where I was with my parents, brother, sister, and
klepto_malfoy.
So now I'm back home, waiting for:
My exam results, which get published tomorrrow, that is most of them I will only have by... monday, tuesday? as my school is sending them and, well, that will take some time. Only one of the examining boards has gone online so far.
The replies from the german Unis.
Final replies from british Unis.
And no, I'm not antsy at all. Whatever gave you that idea?
The last couple weeks were fun. Spent a lot of time with my brother and sister, reading to them, playing games, tutoring them (though that was not as much fun, because both were strongly opposed to the idea of actually DOING anything in the summer holidays!!! ... When they did work they were fine though, it was even fun.), making copious amounds of marmelade (black currant, elderberry, plum, blackberry) and being bitten by a gazillion mosquitos. Well, that last part wasn't as much fun.
When it was very hot my sister and I went swimming in the lake, which was gross, as the lake got more brownish every day, yuck. Getting to the lake was lots nicer, as my stepfather often took us there in the boat, along the river, through a tiny channel and across the lake to the small beach. I loved that. The air was so much fresher on the water, the sky was blue, the sun glittered on the water, the sound of the wind in the trees and bushes, seeing ducks in the undergrowth, wind tousling up my hair, it was amazing.
Unfortunately the little brother could not join us in the swimming due to his broken arm. He finally got rid of the cast yesterday, but unfortunately the bones have not healed well, he should have had an operation straight away, but the doctor who saw him didn't say that, so that sucks. The specialist he saw said because he is still growing it might not be so bad, the bone could fix itself up somewhat as it gets longer, we shall see. But it's really funny, he's so used now to doing things with just one arm that he lets the other arm just hang by his side, not using it when he plays, as though it were still in the cast.
Exam results, oh my!
