Loved
THE MVP!
Singer Arda Day
*I must become her friend. She’s like Ann Margaret mixed with some 60s housewife in the 60s who smokes Parliaments and takes a handful of Mommy Little Helpers with two fingers of scotch and I LOVE IT!
my queen!
Cree Summers
*Definitively Cree. So lively and fun.
Swag!

Uza Uduba in Cinq
Issa Rae in Stella Nolasco
*She’s always gorgeous on the red carpet. Love the blend of colors on the dress and it complements the bronzer she’s surely wearing.
Omarosa Manigault
*Trump shill Omarosa. Hate her politics, but I have to give it to her, it’s a lovely gown that fits like a glove. Love the leather cutouts.
Janelle Monae in Ashi
*She’s like a lovely Judy Jetson in this.
Tika Sumpter (The Haves and Have Nots)
*I’m giving this to her on the assumption it’s a dress and not pants she’s wearing.
Hated
Neicy Nash
*This sexy!Security Guard look is not the way to go.
Aisha Hinds (Underground)
*Did she not realize her top doesn’t fit? Unless she is indeed going for underboob exposure.
Holly Robinson Peete
*Less is truly more because if that dress was short 3 of those fur tires I would’ve loved it.
Joe Morton
*Only spies wear turtlenecks, sorry Papa Pope.
Others
Tracee Ellis Ross in Ulyana Sergeenko
*Now this should’ve been a jumpsuit. Love the pinstripes.
Zazie Beetz (Atlanta)
Octavia Spencer
Bianca Lawson
*Kendra the Jamaican Vampire Slayer could’ve worn better shoes with this. I think she needed something more to stand out. I love that being Beyonce and Solange Knowles’ stepsister hasn’t made her want to be more stylish.
Nicole Murphy
Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang
*Moreso than the dress ( I love the leather accents many of the attendees wore), I love her side-shave on her hair.
Loni Love
Kerry Washington in Prubal Gurung
*It reminds me of a Seventies frock and for that she doesn’t end up on the hated list.
Lynn Whitfield
*She knows full well that feather boa is too much. This isn’t Vegas.
Keesha Sharp (Lethal Weapons)
*Dazzling smile for a dazzling showgirl look.
Amber Stevens-West

Xzibit looking like Secret Service
David Alan Grier
Colman Domingo
LilRey Howery
The always sharp Chris Sullivan (This is Us)
Deon Cole (black-ish)
*I love this look. Yes, he needs one top buttoned buttoned and one lower one buttoned, but he looks so suave and chic and utterly cool that it works. My only issue are the heels on that boot.
Marcus Scribner (black-ish)
*Maybe if it was solid purple I’d like it more but he’s young and he should experiment with colors and patterns.

I already claimed Justin. We swapped sneaky!Pete Sam Jones III for him.
**For some reason some people are speculating that Milo Ventipygmalion is dating his costar Susan Kelechi Watson. I reckon it’s because they’re pictured together at event. Hey, I’d ship it.

*The BAFTAs are tonight. Read their 124 page brochure and it seems this year they haven’t commissioned artwork for the Best Films as they did the past 7 years or so.
*Their Rising Star awards is opened to the (UK) public so it’s more of a fan favorite thing. I’m thinking it’s down to Ruth Negga and Tom Holland.
Holland’s father Dominic is a writer/comedian/presenter and he just released a book titled ‘Eclipsed” about how his son’s career eclipsed his own. Tom is going to have a lot to ruminate about their relationship over the next half year as he films “The Avengers: Infinity Wars 1 & 2” and prepare to do press for the release of his standalone SpiderMan film “SpiderMan Homecoming”.
*Babies everywhere Beyonce pregnant with twins, Amal Clooney pregnant with twins, Madonna adopted twin girls (not babies). I have two friends who believe celebrities are having fertility treatment to get multiples so they can just get the childbearing out of the way. Could be. I don’t know many twins in real life but Mariah Carey, J-Lo and now Beyonce with twins? ::takes off tinfoil hat::
More babies: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham are expecting, as is Laura Prepon and Ben Foster; Amber Tamblyn & David Cross. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and his fiancee Mara Lane welcomed a boy last month: Wolf Rhys Meyers. Pink and Corey Hart welcomed a boy named Jameson. “Supernatural”s Felicia Day welcomed a daughter named Calliope Maeve.
My new favorite person Armie Hammer added another Hammer to the family’s tool chest.
May Harper and Ford grow up to be fun spirited like their dad
Speaking of my dude, (One) Arm(ie)
while he has fans waiting on pins and needles on if he is indeed in an upcoming DCEU film
he’s doing the film festival circuit. “Free Fire” directed by Ben Wheatley is coming to SXSW. He got raves out of Sundance for the provocative “Call Me By Your Name” and he is in Berlin for the Berlin Film Festival for “Final Portrait”, the second directorial venture of Stanley Tucci. The film centers on “the couple of weeks in 1964 when Alberto Giacometti (Geoffrey Rush), the fabled Swiss sculptor and painter decided to create a portrait of his friend, the American author and art critic James Lord (Armie Hammer).”
Kick back and bask in the praise, Armie
*Actually this was just an excuse to post his feet.
*I want Armie to be in the DCEU but then again it’s such a circus of failure that I’m not sure if I want him to be attached to another failure. “The Flash” standalone has lost two directors and has gone through a 3rd rewrite, Ben Affleck has stepped down/was fired from directing his Batman standalone film (Matt Reeves, “Cloverfield”, “Planet of the Apes” (reboot) is in talks for the position as well as Fede Alverez (“Don’t Breath”)and reportedly the word rom early testing is that “Wonder Woman” is terrible.
I know, right?
Meanwhile “Flash” Ezra Miller remains unbothered and adorable.
*UK tabloids are going to tabloid. One reported that Kylie Minogue and Joshua Sasse (Galvant, CW's "No Tomorrow") broke up
due to his cheating and that Kylie's family were worried that he was after her money. That she was splurging on him including buying him hairplugs. That's terribl(y funny).
*The first episode of F/X’s “X-Men” related series “Legion” was superb.
The direction, by Noah Hawley (Fargo) was out of this world and Dan Stevens was excellent.
*That post-“Downton Abbey” weight loss (plastic surgery?) was helpful.
*Knocked out the entire season of Netflix’s “The Santa Clarita Diet”
starring Drew Barrymore as a realtor who becomes undead. With the help of her husband (Timothy Olyphant) she has to eat human flesh in order to survive. Wackiness ensues.
Liv Hewson (“Before I Fall”) plays their daughter and Skyler Gisondo (“Vacation”, “Night at the Museum 3”) plays their nerdy neighbor who tries to help Olyphant navigate the world of zombies.
Someone says Hewson looks like she could be related to Caleb Landry Jones (“X-Men: First Class”)
I want to add Paul Banks of Interpol and Boyd Holbrook.
Liv Hewson may look like Caleb/Paul/Boyd, but she is no relation to “The Knicks” Eve “Daughter of Bono” Hewson who will play Maid Marian in the currently filming “Hood”, a “Robin Hood”origins story.
despite his selfmade Wolverine claws, Taron Egerton is playing Robin Hood
*Andrew Scott is returning to the stage for “Hamlet”.
The Guardian posted some pics from his varied theater career.
His very varied kinky career
*What I also like? This still from the trailer for TNT’s upcoming “Will” about William Shakespeare. On the left is “Game of Thrones” Dean Charles Chapman in a dress. Didn’t know I needed that in my life but I do.
*While I’m waiting for FOX to announce if they’re renewing “The Exorcist” for a second season, series star Ben Daniels is comfortably enjoying some home time with his partner Ian Gelder.
Who knew Kevan Lannister was so domestic?
*Meanwhile, somewhere in L.A Natalia Tena (Osha) is working on a project and going hiking with Theon Greyjoy and Podrick fooking Payne.
*Watched the 3 night EVENT “The New Edition Story”. I’ve taken for granted how much love for New Edition people have. My friend went to their Walk of Fame ceremony prior to the airing of the mini-series and he said fans flew in from all over the country for the event. It was a true love fest.
The miniseries tackles their known falling out and member changes, as well as unknown info like Ricky Bell’s drug addiction.
The “New Edition” actors
Bryshere Gray (Michael Bivins), Algee Smith (Ralph Tresvant), Luke James (Johnny Gill), Woody McClain (Bobby Brown),Elijah Kelley (Ricky Bell),
BET released this tie-in poster to replicate the hairchart you see at the salon. Just in case people feel like getting a retro Gumby cut a’la Bobby Brown (aka a #2).
Initially I was thrown because the cast re-recorded NE songs so I was resistant but they delivered a faithful version of “Can You Stand the Rain” thanks to Luke James’ great vocals.
Great singer. Great face and body!
*He’s the ex of singer Jessie J. I know they wore people out with their singing. If I could sing like the two of them I would never stop.
*The CW has put a stake in “The Vampire Diaries” and the series has wrapped their last episode.
I’ve had an on and off again relationship with “The Vampire Diaries” but we got back together last season and I’ve never been happier. We’ve been in a good place, my Mystic Falls babies and I. No more Hater King L’il Ian. Like maybe literally. Let’s see this dude get work after this.
What TVD excelled at was never straying from the relationships between the characters. It’s been amazing that they’ve created new friendships that don’t feel like fan service or false. The biggest joy for me has been the friendship of former enemies Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) and the romance between Bonnie and Enzo (Michael Malarky).
Forever Mystic Falls best couple
*I know how L’il Ian can be a L’il Terror but does he get down like Jared?
Are you for real with this?
I get your film career peaked with a straight to video Thomas Kinkade film and your hairline is fading like our icecaps and yeah, this “Big Love” arrangement is getting unwieldy since adding the Inferior Amell and your toilet wine business, but don’t become an internet troll. Leave that to your fans and their attacks on the series writers for not allowing Dean and Castiel to become canon or whatever the hell is going on in that fandom.
Which leads me to MTV’s “Shadowhunters”. I admit to watching clips of Matthew Daddario scenes online (he has a lovely wide mouth and turns out that’s a thing for me)
Or maybe it’s the kissing he does with Harry Shum Jr. Or both. It’s both.
but I have been more mindful of the show since “Smallville” EP’s Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer took over the show this season. Slavkin responded to a fan’s tweet about one of the show’s characters. The tweet pissed off Cassandra Clare, the author whose novels the series is based on.
Todd responding to fan
Todd clarifying for Casandra
a fan hemming up Cassandra
Recently “The Outsiders” novelist S.E Hinton battled with fans over whether her characters were gay. And George R. R Martin stays salty over “Game of Thrones” EP’s Dan and Dave diverting from his unfinished work. The jokes’s on Martin. There’s an entire subreddit thread with fans who want to flay him or send him to the Wall for not finishing the novels by now and feel that by the time he finishes, if he finishes, they won’t have any interest in them.
I understand feeing precious about your work, but I would think that once you accept money for that work and have sold off your rights, you can feel all the feelings you want but you have to realize it’s no longer solely yours. For Cassandra Clare her books are unchanged, why piss and moan over what the visions of the series’ showrunners are? Same with Martin. Same with Hinton. “The Outsiders” as she wrote it still exists. If people want Soda Pop and Ponyboy having an orgy with the other guys let them. Also, has that been written? I wouldn’t mind reading that.
~I leave you with..
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Clark Luthor!
* I love the Evil!Tom Welling look. It’s fetching.
As attractive now as he was then
