Last week was the SAG awards.
I’m talking winners at fashion, not some stupid, ugly pewter award.
Loved
Best Dressed IMO. Amber Riley. Va-va-va-voom
*Gal can work it (From an Essence shoot).
Emily Blunt
*I love the one-shoulder accent. The color is great.
Emilia Clarke of “Game of Thrones”
*I know you're thinking "But the shoulders? And the feathers? But it's unusual and it works on her.
She made up for her dowdy BAFTA dress
Viola Davis
Kaley Cucuo
*She looks like a princess!
Sofia Vegara
Missi Pyle
Kyra Sedgewick
Lea Michelle
*I can’t stand her but I can’t hate on the dress. It’s sleek and sexy. For once she’s not overdoing it.
Jenna Ushkowitz
*So lovely! It’s a beautiful Spring look.
Judy Greer
Emma Stone
*Love the flirty look. Normally I’m not a fan of short flared dresses at gala events, but this is fitting.
Mayim Bialik
Lena Headey
at other events
Heather Morris of “Glee”
Ashlee Simpson
*Ashlee was there with boyfriend Vincent Piazza of “Boardwalk Empire”
Glenn Close
*She’s worn dresses like this quite a bit, but I think the train is new. It’s flattering.
James King
*It may be more love of her but I don’t hate this look. It’s very regal.
Hated
Busy Philips. Her dress is like her name. BUSY
She looked much better at Art of Elysium
Shailine Woodley
The dress is worse than those shoes she broke out at the Golden Globes afterparty
*Why?
Gretchen Mol
*Okay. She had no idea her dress would match the banner thus from a distance making it look as if she was wearing a midriff baring dress. But the mustard yellow is unattractive.
Rose Byrne
*I love pantsuits, don’t get me wrong. But this is too 70’s Anna Wintour.
Jenna Fischer of “The Office”
*Did you even try, Grandma?
Regina King
*It looks cheap and worn. She could use a better fit. The dress is a bit too messy.
*It would probably improve her look if her boyfriend Malcolm Jamal Warner was on her arm.
Elizabeth Olsen
*Showing that her sisters Mary Kate and Ashley aren’ t the only ones with terrible fashion sense.
Jane Lynch
*Keep your hands out your damn pockets!! Just stop wearing dresses with pockets.
Others
Penelope Ann Miller
Dianna Agron
A rare fail for Tilda Swinton
Julie Bowen
Zoe Saldana
*Not flattering in the least.
She looked better for the Golden Globes
Naya Riviera
Kristen Wiig
Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski
Kat Von D and Lemmy of Motorhead classing up the joint at the Art of Elysium gala
Julianna Margulies
*Vast improvement over her Golden Globes dress, but the fit is off.
Jennifer Carpenter
*Maybe divorce has screwed up her fashion sense. She’s usually on point on the red carpet. This is too basic a look for her.
Ginger looking Michael C. Hall
January Jones
*Rising from her bland, tapioca cocoon.
Scott Bakula
*Two weeks ago Scott Bakula was at office and I was running in not sure if I was late for something so I passed by him and reflexively "Hello" then I realized it was him so it was "Hello. OH, Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" All geeked out.Fifty exclaimation marks in my voice. So I kept eye stalking him: watching him walk about. At one point he went outside and it was a gorgeous day. He stepped out the door and threw his head back like he was soaking up the sun. Then he was finally leaving and passed by me and a few of my coworkers and said, "Goodbye, girls. Take it easy or take care or something to that effect.". And normally a man calling me a girl makes my eye twitch but when he said it was amazingly okay. When he was out of earshot (I hope) I said "Hearts. Hearts all in my eyes." He's still so attractive.
Damn, George. You lost out to Jean Dujardin. We may see an upset at the Oscars
Double dating
Whoa, Dick Tracy. Life’s been hard on you.
But Nick Nolte cleaned up kinda well for the SAG awards
Amber Heard at the Art of Elysium Gala
Rashida Jones at Art of Elysium
Lucy Lawless at Art of Elysium
Michelle Trachenberg at Art of Elysium
Rachel Bilson at Art of Elyisum
Shanola Hampton of “Shameless”
Kelly Osbourne
*It seems it's impossible for me to hate a Kelly Osbourne look because I even love this on her.
Jessica Lowndes of “90210”
Tracee Ellis Ross of “Reed Between the Lines”
Michelle Williams
Melissa McArthy
Maya Rudolph
Can someone give Angie a sandwich or ten?
Armie Hammer
He even looks dashing in his mugshot
*Armie losing out in the Best Supporting Actor category signals the end of “J. Edgar” this award season.
You knew damn well you wouldn’t get Best Makeup
Nothing for “War Horse” either
Another person who hasn't gotten much ink is "Midnight in Paris" star Owen Wilson.
The film is a comeback for Owen of sorts. Though he did reprise his role as Lightening McQueen in "Cars 2" the film focused more on Larry The Cable Guy's Mater. In 2007 Owen attempted suicide. At the time he was to play Ben Stiller's agent in "Tropic Thunder" but he had to back out and was replaced by Matthew McCoughnahey. He's been working ever since but "Midnight in Paris" was the first one that moderately successful and in which he is the lead.
Hopefully all is well in Owen's personal life. He's a dad now.
to one-year old Robert Ford
It’s down to you Luke to provide your parents with another grandchild
*Older brother Andrew with son Joey.
Andrew and Luke are working on a movie together
“Dallas” stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman
Julian Sands
*Looking chocolate wasted at the Art of Elyisum party
A troll emerging from underneath its bridge!
*John Mayer
Maxwell Caufield and wife Juliet Mills
*Michael Carrington could still get it.
Either Jared Leto is working with Carmen San Diego or he’s there to kill someone.

*Though I love “Boardwalk Empire”, I think “Game of Thrones” should have won for Best Ensemble. In GoT everyone gets and equally compelling storyline.

“Merlin”s Bradley and Colin Morgan
*Colin is really pushing the phrase beau laide
Chris Hemsworth
*I’m hoping the hair is still for “Snow White”
Rain Phoenix
*Rain is the second oldest of the Phoenix children.
Her siblings are carrying on the tradition of non-traditional names. Liberty's children are Rio Everest, Indigo Orion and Scarlette Jasmine and Summer's (who is married to Casey Affleck) has two children with Indiana August and Atticus.
~Here’s a show that won’t be winning any awards “Saving Hope”! The trailer for the Erica Durance, Michael Shanks starrer was put up on the studio’s website but the site ran Flash and it would buffer at a crawl. Some saint uploaded it to Youtube.
Lois and Carter, you have some explaining to do
It’s like Dr. Sexy MD

*Whitney or Eric Johnson if you prefer, was on this past week’s episode of “Alcatraz”. He played another bad guy. He was really good.
That just sounded like a 3rd grader’s essay.
What I noticed watching it? His ears are big. Clark must’ve had a great time tugging on those things.
*Clex is still alive
Clexmas entries are up!
*Tomorrow is the Super Bowl which means absolutely nothing to me. Who’s even playing? It’s all about the half-time show. Madonna is the performer saddled with making the show exciting. In a post-Janet Jackson nipple era I think she won’t succeed.
The Puppy Bowl will be more exciting.
Set your phasers to cute!
NBC is hoping the post-Super Bowl viewers to tune into “Smash” which is strange seeing that it’s already available for free on NBC’s Video On Demand.
I watched the pilot and it’s really “Glee” for the Broadway set. A classier affair where no one gets Slushees thrown in their faces.
The show stars Debra Messing as a Broadway composer who is due to take time off to spend with her family, but when someone comes up with an idea for a play about Marilyn Monroe, she and her team decide to make it happen. It also stars who follows her relatives to TV Anjelica Huston (her brother Danny is on Starz “Magic City” with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and nephew Jack is on “Boardwalk Empire”), Katherine McPhee (she has an outstanding voice) and this darling.
Jack Davenport!!
*There are actors who I can’t stand for no real reason. I’ve never watched “Veronica Mars” and I really don’t remember what I’ve seen her in but I’ve never liked Kristen Bell.
Stop molestering Matt!
That’s more like it
or her boyfriend Dax Shepard. But this clip of her on “Ellen” talking about her reaction to a birthday gift from Dax makes me not hate them so much.
Mild dislike, yes. Hate, no.
