Prospect Park, however, largely places the blame on The Writers Guild for not working out a reduced pay for the writers.
Yeah, and those writers could like clean the sets after work and learn the value of Good Hard Work. Instead of sitting on their Fat Asses and Creatin' like they are supposed to do. I can understand writers like Steven DeKnight being asked to reduce his wages because he’s just awful, but to churn out soaps daily?? This was a model that was not going to work. Period. If a corporation like ABC couldn’t be bothered to sustain it due to diminish ad dollars, how would a small company monetize it online? Those Prospect Park people are going to be back with me in 99% if they play risks like that with their company.

It's really a shame because in the past the soap stores could occupy their place in the universe and then when big name stars began doing indies and small roles, that pushed lesser known actors or actors who use to do primetime series to daytime. It's like the soap stars have been having their territory encroached on. Now with less soap operas, where will those actors go? It's going to get that more harder to get roles.

Yeah...I don't think I've seen a full ep. of a soap in my life, but I liked that they existed, that there was this whole universe of daytime stars and fans who were crazy about them. Maybe Revenge is leading Soaps back to primetime (and hopefully ending the Reality domination of the last ten years.)

I saw 'Drive' a couple of days ago and I really liked it. Beautiful soundtrack, a weird kind of stillness, gorgeous colours. I didn't mind the violence and the open ending. 'Drive' was the kind of film I was expecting 'Hanna' to be. I have seen 'Hanna' for a second time and I still hate it.

It was pretty artless and lazy how they did it. I tried to watch last night's eppy and all the exposition was just forced. "He thinks Gellar is still. He's talking to Gellar". THey really have to kick it into overdrive for the finale.

Yeah...I don't think I've seen a full ep. of a soap in my life, but I liked that they existed, that there was this whole universe of daytime stars and fans who were crazy about them.
