The first annual Critic Choice Awards were held on June 20th.
The new awards show (because we needed another one) was aired on ReelzChannel and was watched by 84,000 people. In TV terms it’s ratings placed it a 0.0 if you were to use the Nielsens.
But they did get some things right.

”No, it’s not a salami in my pants, but I am happy to see you.”
William H. Macy (Shameless)
Timothy Olyphant (Justified)
*Tim was interviewed by
TVLIne about his Emmy chances and he continues to be extremely nonchalant about the whole process. I think nonchanlant is his general attitude. The Hollywood Reporter did a roundtable with leading actors and Tim seems to be one of those actors who don’t like to talk about acting and it’s frustrating because I know he has a process, but I think he believes no one is interested in it.

Community
*If you want to unravel the mystery of “Community”, read Dan Harmon’s episode-by-episode breakdown of Season Two. It’s a long read, but if you’re a die-hard “Community” fan or just one who likes to not heed Jeff’s warning to “stop being meta”, read it. I remember after the first “Community” Paley, my friend’s husband complained that Harmon talks to much and likes to hear himself talk, but I really like his mind. Yes, he’s verbose. But I love his candor and within the wall of words, grow little flowers from in between the mortar like what he says about Jeff and Britta: “Love always finds a way. If two people have been hurt enough, they trick themselves into falling in love through a different door. They just need to protect themselves with a certain chant beforehand, like “This is bullshit.” And, for that reason, what I love is when the show doesn’t presume any factual positions on things that have any binary truth to them. “Is there any such thing as true love?” The question is the important thing. There’s no answer.”
Dan Harmon recaps S2 *Dan does a
joint interview with his “nemesis” “Modern Family” creator Steven Levitan.

*I wonder what Jeff Winger would have to say to Joel McHale starring in “Spy Kids 4”.
Not Kids Anymore. Original “Spy Kids” Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS charity event
*The two are returning in the fourth film.
Then
I like this one. Very “Wonder Woman”
~In other TV goings-on.
*I’m extremely cheesed off that “90210” is writing out Old Man Teddy. How can they do this to the Oldest Living Senior?! They tout this Very Special storyline with Teddy coming out and they spread it out over the seasons in the most meager ways and now this.
Annalynne McCord wants to leave the show, let Naomi kick rocks and keep Teddy.
*Annalynne is making all kinds of bad decisions. Those grey spandex pants and dating Dominic Purcell when he has a Mario and Luigi mustache.
Lincoln Burrows still can’t button his damn shirt!
I even like Lanter, but I’d rather him leave than Trevor Donovan
Look at him! Secure in his job.
*”Harry’s Law” starring Kathy Bates is returning without two of the regulars. Brittany Snow and Aml Ameen have been written out.
*Jim Parsons is showing how adorkable he is by guest starring in an episode of “iCarly”. He’ll play a mental patient who believes he’s from the future. He’ll fit right in with Spencer.
*Beau “My Eyebrows Makes Me Cooler Than Jeff” Bridges will guest star on “White Collar” as Neal’s (Matt Bomer) mentor. While Ernie Hudson will play Mozzie’s (Willie Garson) mentor.
Obligatory
*Natalie Dormer (“The Tudors”) is joining “Game of Thrones”. Lauren Cohen (Bela, “Supernatural”) is joining “The Walking Dead”.
*Adam Levine is participating with the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) for their “Own It” campaign to draw attention to ADHD. Adam has admitted for the first time that he has ADHD. He was diagnosed as a teen and manages it to this day with help from his doctor.
The face of a guy with ADHD or “I’m a prick and don’t give a shit what you have to say because I’m about to nail this chick in the bleachers and then do her mom later” disease?
*The circle is complete! Thomas Gibson has re-signed with CBS for another season of “Criminal Minds”.
That means no more hiatus mustache for Thomas.
With Paget Brewster and AJ Cook back on board and Rachel Nichols sent away, it’s like the ending of S6 never happened.
Thomas and MGG in Monte Carlo
Gube with Jesse Williams
*I’m obsessively re-watching “Game of Thrones” and the featurettes and I’m picking up on stuff that went over my head. Like:
~I thought Theon was another Stark kid, not their servant. Even when he explained it to Roz (the prostitute) I didn’t get it because I was too busy looking at his abs.
Butterface Theon
*Be careful if you click on pic. It takes you to a NSFW site.
*My friend, who is such a delicate, genteel lady, refer to men’s defined abs as “come gutters”. So when I saw Alfie Allen’s abs I thought “That’s what she means.” I’m sure when he jerks it it’s quite a sight. Rivulets of come just…well. Let’s just say I would pay to see it.
Also, had no idea he was the brother of singer Lily Allen. Now I can see the resemblance.
*She wrote a song about him. “Alfie” and it’s all about how he’s a pot head
Here's Alfie and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) at Glastonbury.
*Speaking of people I didn’t know were related.
Jesse and Hailee “Pepsi kid” Eisenberg
*D’uh! It’s so obvious now.
Watching the featurette about Theron’s family and then listening to him how he is still bitter about the defeat of his family and how he’s now stuck as a servant when he comes from power. His family’s motto is “We Do Not Sow”. I think he may be a dark horse and may turn against Robb. Especially if he can get into a more powerful alliance.
He better bow down.
*Even Uncle Benjen is cool. Other than dummy Sansa, is there any such thing as a lousy Stark. Though Catelyn was rotten to Jon when he went to check on Bran. She hates him. If this were “Clash of the Titans” (which it can’t be because it’s excellent) and she were Medusa, she would’ve turned him to stone. That why it breaks my heart that he’s so committed to his duty at the Wall because when will he be able to see his brothers and sisters (though Arya is headed to the Wall)?
*So Robert’s accident wasn’t strictly an accident? Cersei’s cousin was supposedly spiking his wine. That would make sense because nearly all the time we’ve seen Robert he’s looked feverish. Is this also how they got John Arryn?
*The “Mad” King was mad because of inbreeding. Or maybe it’s just one of the things that made him mad. Inbreeding will do that to you.
*I have a feeling Tyrion knows about Cersei and Jaime by the little comments he makes. Like in the first episode Jaime tells Tyrion Cersei “craves his (Tyrion’s) attention” Tryrion says she has odd cravings. Now it could mean that he can’t believe she wants to be bothered with him but the way he was curious about Bran’s accident as if he didn’t buy that the kid just fell, implies to me that he thinks Bran saw something.
*I still don’t know what Little Finger is playing at.
Anywhoo:
*Salon’s take on GoT
Salon Talk S1 *The Atlantic
The Women of GoT ~Comic Con is fast approaching. Over 1,000 returned four-day badges were released on either Thursday or Friday. Single Day passes will be come available soon. The big news this year was that Marvel and DC weren’t doing their usual big panels in Hall H (although both will have a presence there.).
What will be in Hall H?
*I think they should just make Hall H a sitting area because people will appreciate that more than the panel for “The Immortals”.
What is “The Immortals”? It’s a fantasy tale in the vein of “Clash of the Titans” starring soon-to-be Superman Henry Cavill and Stephen Dorff.
That’s right. Stephen Dorff. Now doesn’t using Hall H as a sitting area sound better now?

~This is neither here no there but Chris Crocker is supposedly doing porn now. I, for one, say “WANT”.
If you don’t know your internet flash in the pans, Chris was the “Leave Britney Alone!!!” guy. His videotaped histrionics over Britney Spear’s public meltdown made him a Youtube sensation. Which is about as worthless as winning an Internet poll. Then he did a video where he was making out with “his brother”. Then he went away like Von Dutch hats and Myspace. But now he’s back and he’s looking quite fetching.
Hotel bathroom makes me think of all sleazy things
Here’s
Chris Crocker Tumblr if you want to see some cute pictures of him, him in drag, him sucking his boyfriend off. Stuff like that. NSFW
*Another random tidbit. The re-ratioing for cable that was done for "Inception" is criminal. It cuts off Eames when Arthur is complaining about "specificity". If you hadn't seen it before you wouldn't know who Arthur was talking to or why he was repeating himself. People are missing Eames amused look of "What is this? Jeopardy? "Specificity".
And I've said it before (or maybe it was on Twitter and not LJ), but Cobb pronouncing route as "root" instead of "raught" is like an ice-pick in my ears. And he says it three times in quick succession as if to taunt me.
~I
leave you with.
