The opening scene between Ned and Varys was sublime. Sean conveyed the internal battle within Ned so perfectly all with a look and a sigh.
*Even in the flashback to last week’s episode I wanted to stab Littlefinger. I bet he’ll try to nail Sansa next season.
*I love the relationship between the Stark kids. Except for Sansa who can go right to Hell, I love them all. I cheered when Robb rode up with Jamie in tow; I love that Jon is conflicted by his duty to the Knight’s Watch and his family.
*Joffrey that pissant! This is probably why Cleopatra had her little brother killed. He was probably just like Joffrey.
*I get that Tyrion has to be loyal to his family even though his father clearly wants him dead. As he said to him, “Surely there are ways to have me killed that are less detrimental to the war effort.” But I wish he’d turn against them and help Robb.
*It took me all this time to figure out why the elder Lannister looked so familiar. He played Numspa in "The Golden Child".
*Next week is the finale? Fuuuuuuuuuuuck.
That means that “True Blood” is coming. It won’t replace “Game of Thrones” in brilliance but it’s a good time occupier. And I can’t wait to continue making fun of the atrocious accents.
