Superman Casting Update, SPN Rowdy Boys...
~Another lackluster (to me) casting has been announced for Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”. “Boardwalk Empire” odd-looking-even-next-to-Steve-Buscemi actor Michael Shannon has been cast as General Zod. Quote from Snyder in the press release:
“Zod is not only one of Superman’s most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don’t. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role.”
Actors are like everyone else and have their opinions, but I was surprised that Annette O’Toole tweeted Okay, none of the Superman casting got me excited till TODAY. Michael Shannon as ZOD?? BRILLIANT!!!! Now I want to see this movie!
I know I’m not impressed by the casting so far, but to have Lana Lang/Martha Kent say it is lends a sort of vindication to my feelings.

*This weekend was KAPOW! Convention in London-the Across the Pond version of Comic Con. “Being Human” creator Toby Whithouse spoke of Season Four being a reinvention for the series. He spoke further with EW about the S3 finale. SPOILER ALERT if you’ve not seen the finale. The big deal news is that Whithouse has confirmed Tom (Michael Socha) is returning which is aces. I loved Tom and his dad. Sucks that Robsen Green can’t return because yowza, he was nice to look out and more importantly his character was great. But I thought Michael was terrific so I’m really excited about that.
And he’s a bit of all right
The other big news out of KAPOW! , at least for people who watch “Misfits”( I don’t) is that Robert Sheehan is leaving the show. Now even though I’ve never watched the program I know that’s a big deal. That’s like if Jared Padalecki left “Supernatural’.
*Speaking of that whore Jared Padalecki, his marrying ways has pushed Jensen further into the arms of Misha Collins, who is obviously more accepting of Jared’s weight. This weekend was the SPN convention in Rome Jus In Bello II where Jensen and Misha taunted Jared with their affection.
To add further insult, a fan asked the two to act out their lovemaking reenact the orgasm scene from “When Harry Met Sally”.
VivianBloom pointed out Jensen is once again copy catting his idol, Tom by wearing a hat just like his. Poseur!
*It’s hilarious but that’s taking it too far. I’m surprised the pair were game.

But who can blame Jen? Misha accepts him even when he’s being a hipster
Know who would’ve done that scene and more? Why resident attention whore (in the best way) Sebastian Roche. Sebastian was on hand and he and fans tweeted pics.

*I’ve begun watching “Hawaii Five-O”. The real joy is the banter between Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan. I really love how Scott talks with his hands. I’m going to start a drinking game where you take a drink each time his hands venture into Alex’s shot. Just little hands everywhere.
*I knew Alex has tattoos, but I didn’t know he was so tatted.
