QAF Reunion, Awards Season, The Game Returns....
~At 6pm (PST) the Sheena Metal Show will (tentatively) have as guests QAF stars Scott Lowell,Michelle Clunie,Thea Gill, Sharon Gless and the GQMF, Gale Harold.
If you miss it don't fret, she posts the podcasts on her site.
Gale will return to TV in the February 1st episode of "Hellcats".
~Tonight marks the return of Tasha Mack, Malik, Jason, Kelly and the off-again/on-again couple (and my least favorite characters) Melanie and Derwin of “The Game”. After being off the air for nearly two years, BET will air new episodes featuring of its original actors (even Coby Bell who still has a gig on “Burn Notice”).
I hope the show retains the single camera technique and the seriocomedy aspect it did so well in the final two-seasons. It went from a show I watched in passing to one of the shows I tuned in for weekly thanks to those changes.
The New York Times talked with the show’s creators and cast and Black Voices Online talks to Wendy Raquel Robinson.
Unlike The CW, BET knows how to promote the show.

~Some of the cast members were on hand for BET’s panels for the semi-annual Television Critics Association press panels (TCAs). BET also had the cast from their new scripted series “Let’s Stay Together”.
The network I really wanted “The Game” to be picked up by, TV One held their panel on the 5th. They had some of the cast members of the Martin Lawrence produced “Love That Girl!” starring Tatyana Ali (“The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”) and my favorite Martian.
Phil Morris
Phil plays the father of Ali, a young woman who wants to make a go at real estate alongside her father. She has to contend with his bossy secretary, her lazy brother who lives with her and the horrendous caricatures that the show has as her gay neighbors.
I watched a few episodes during the holidays, at least Phil and Tatyana are good.

The CW is offering up “Shedding for the Wedding”, a reality weight-loss show starring Sara Rue formerly of the WB’s “Popular” and a panel titled “Kick Ass Women of the CW” featuring Erica Durance, Aly Michalka of “Hellcats”, Lindsay Fonsaca and Maggie Q. of “Nikita” , “The Vampire Diaries” Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola.
How there could be a panel about kick-ass women of the CW but no Cassidy Freeman is beyond me.
But the list is missing something. “Supernatural”, where are your kick ass women?

~As Tom Hardy was the breakout actor in “Inception”, Armie was the breakout actor in “The Social Network”. Armie has been chosen by Clint Eastwood to join his J. Edgar Hoover biopic. Leonardo DiCaprio will star as Hoover and Armie will play Hoover’s confidant/ rumor lover Clyde Tolson. Also starring in the film is Dame Judi Dench and surprisingly, I mean really surprisingly. I mean I could see monkeys flying with rocket launchers strapped to their backs before I could see this casting; Armie’s “Gossip Girl” costar Ed “Gorilla Grodd” Westwick has been added as an agent who is chosen by Hoover to write his biography.
This is sounding like “Interview with a Vampire” to me. So is Westwick the Christian Slater character and Leo will recount his life ala Louis?
