~Thing that makes me say AH-HA!
Ari Cohen doesn’t just make the entire world’s my heart sing on Smallville as Regan “Takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’” Matthews, but in Toronto he’s a great thespian in the theatre. Notice the “re” spelling because he’s all highbrow and stuff.
And cleans up nicely.
These are some reviews for Ari in “Odet’s Awake and Sing”.
Only Ari Cohen masters it all as Moe, a cynical amputee veteran of the First World War who smells another war coming and loudly expresses his belief that everything is a “racket,” from politics to marriage.
Moe, who becomes the Bergers' boarder, has a passion for Hennie that he is incapable of articulating in a gentle way from beneath his hardened shell; his idea of sweet-talking is to admiringly relate a story about a Frenchman who killed his wife in a bathtub full of acid. Cohen masters this character's mix of magnetism and misogyny; he's theatrical and yet completely, compellingly believable.
Ari Cohen is particularly compelling as family friend Moe
The best work in the show is Cohen’s disillusioned, energetic Moe, whose wheeler-dealer veneer masks insecurities and his desire for Hennie. He and Wilson spar almost constantly, but with a sexually crackling undertone.
sexually crackling undertones from Ari? Why aren't I in Toronto??

*Brandon Routh’s contract for the next Superman film has lapsed. Which is a moot point since there has been no action on the side of Warners for another Supes film anytime soon anyway. A film he’s in, “Life in Cracktown” was released over a week ago in limited release, he was cut out of another film and although the folks at work on “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” I haven’t seen any pics of Brandon on set or featured in the vlogs.
But there is some good news in the Routh home, his wife Courtney Ford has joined the cast of “Dexter” this season along with John Lithgow.
Chris and his character
I defy you to find a better looking crackhead.

I’m following Comic Con on Twitter and Disney has announced a 3D panel that includes Tim Burton. “Heroes” kinda Comic Con appearance has been announced. They will not be at the convention center, instead hiding out at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront (hey, I’ve had meetings there. Their sales rep is very nice.) Attending the event wearing flak jackets to protect themselves from the disgruntled fans will be creator Tim Kring, Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Adrian Pasdar and Zachary Quinto. It also will have guest stars Teabag (Robert Knepper), Darth Maul (Ray Park) and Grace Sheffield (Madeline Zima)
*The Thursday lineup for Comic Con has been announced. The next “Twilight” film- “New Moon” seems to be the highlight. If you call that a highlight.
The Line-Up *Mark Seliger has done a gorgeous shoot for Vanity Fair “Ain’t We Got Style” spread melding new Hollywood with old Hollywood films. It kills me that Tom Welling is not in these types of shoots. Seliger is a stellar photographer and back when US magazine was a real magazine and not a tabloid, he created, what I consider, iconic images for the magazine.
Josh Duhamel and Elle Fanning recreating “Paper Moon”
42nd Street with a bunch of nobodies Willa Ford, Moon Goodblood (okay, I like her) and Alexa Chung
Our Man Godfrey with Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried
”They Shoot Horses Don’t They?” recreating featuring Anton Yeltin, Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski
James Marsden and Rose Byrnes marvelously recreating “It Happened One Night”
Mila Kunis as “Letty Lynton”
Grapes of Wrath with Demetri Martin, Eugene Levy and Emile Hirsch

Chad Michael Murray with his child, Kenzie. I hope he put in an application at Starbucks when he went for his frapps.
*Jude Law is having a moment. Maybe mid-life crisis moment? How else could you explain wearing a mesh shirt? Even the guy from “Right Said Fred” wasn’t right in that. Jude…you were so beautiful and now you look so beaten.
Jude spending time with his favorite guy: Jonny Lee Miller. Oh, and his son.
Back when Jonny and Jude had more hair
His son does not want to be seen with him.
~Twitter Watch:
Cassidy Freeman tweets that she’s enjoying being back to work (Three days in), I am now following Swimmer & Slavkin as well as Caroline Dries (who seems to have defected SV for “Melrose Place” as well, unless she’s writing for both or I’m completely misreading things. ETA: She's gone to MP. Dries wrote "Fracture", "Infamous" and "Stiletto", episodes I really enjoyed). Slavkin wished Rosenbaum luck for his pitch against the Mets yesterday. Rosenbaum tweeted a few days ago “Good Job” to Connor Stanhope who played young!Lex.
I’m also following model Kerry Dergman because Chad White isn’t on Twitter and they look alike so it’s better than nothing. I’m following NKOTB who tweet A LOT. Danny works out A LOT and I’m galled, galled, I tell you, that Jonathan has yet to allow me to follow him. He’s the only one I care about. I bet all his tweets are about hooking up with local rentboys anyway.
*Another person back to work is

Ice T posted this on Twitter. Why didn’t he take one of Went with CoCo?
*Another person back to work is “Everwood”s Gregory Smith. Who posted this pic on Facebook is doing a pilot for a Canadian TV show.
Another WB refugee, David Gallagher was seen somewhere doing something.
The little Camden kid looks dirty.
*L’il Ian Somehalder’s show, “The Vampire Diaries” will now shoot in Atlanta due to tax breaks. L’il Ian remains charmingly smug.
~The L.A Times ran an
article about “Nip/Tuck”’s final season which I found very interesting because of its candor. The cast speaks about the show losing its way, but this quote from Dylan Walsh stands out.
In separate interviews, Walsh and McMahon both said that what they'd miss the most about working on the show was each other.
"I'll miss every day sitting in one trailer or another, talking about everything going on with the show and our lives," Walsh said. "We are what Ryan wanted the show to be. I love him. That's the best thing I got out of the show -- it was him."
It’s all about the friends you make and I love hearing about costars who really care about each other. There was a show on CBS two years ago that barely lasted a season, “The Class” (unfairly underrated) and recently one of the stars, Sean Maguire said in an interview that the cast still gets together once a month for dinner.
Another “Why were you invited?” moment from Diddy’s
Jonah Hill. Why were you invited?
Another of my girl, Amber Rose
Busta Rhymes and Tyrese. Hmmm. Busta’s a Five Percenter so I know he’s not eating the swine. How did he pick up all that weight?
~Things that make me go, dawnybee, you suck. I’m bad at wishing people birthdays and I have to do better because I do read my entire flist and appreciate you all. I want to wish Happy Belated Birthdays to
