Thank you jeannev, carolandtom, jammer1027, drkcherry, talitha78 , eeyore1017, suzvoy,voldything,starry_dawn,tasabian, lapetite_kiki,
and others that I may have missed for my birthday greetings on this, my non-birthday.

See, I forgot to hide the LJ profile this year. Jan 1st is just a placeholder date when LJ implemented their adult content crackdown . But in June when I celebrate my birthday alongside fellow degenerate Geminis like Zachary Quinto, Wentworth Miller and the Marquis de Sade, I will remember this day and think about all the kind, generous and incredible people on my flists and the awesome picspams and lj gifts I’ve received.

talitha78, you know me too well! I actually have a cassette in my tape deck right now. Jordan Knight’s eponymous solo cassette.

And carolandtom, how did you know about my love for coffee? I believe I have more coffee than blood running through my veins. Thank you.

Thank you all.

~2009 is here and thanks to our effed up car companies, I guess I shouldn’t hold my breath for that flying car.

2008 started out in a horrible way because by April I had lost or people who are very close to me had lost six people to cancer. And I was scared that the entire year would be marked by tragedy---and it was. I’ve been fortunate to not have been too touched by tragedy in my personal life in recent years, but this year it was like life was playing catch-up. Not only deaths, but serious illnesses and injuries to loved ones.

And through this year seeing what my flists have gone through, I know I’m not the only who have had to deal with tragedy.

I only write this to say I feel blessed and grateful and the things that I’ve learned in 2008, I hope to utilize and build on in 2009. The most important was being a better and more available friend and relative.

I’m going to try to do at least some of the things on my “To Do” list. Write a “To Do” list.

Just be better and do more.

~In between watching the “Twilight Zone” marathon, the “Bones” marathon (David Boreanaz plays smitten so well) and commenting on voldything’s LJ (please go and drop a comment to help her get to 500 comments, please. It’s fun!), I’ve been listening to music On Demand. I’ve been in a cheesy music mood so I’ve been listening to Winger and Cinderella and Color Me Badd. And I say these things are cheesy when they’re really

Color Me Badd: Wildflower
Bryan Abrams can sing his butt off.

Paula Abdul: Forever Your Girl

Paula Abdul: Rush Rush
I was so jealous that she got to kiss Keanu Reeves.

And honestly? I could do this all day. Just post Paula Abdul videos because I loved her music that much; all her songs make me want to dance and sing. It’s lousy that she’s so crazycakes nowadays. I tried to watch an interview of hers the other day and she reminded me of that drunk on “The Andy Griffith Show”. I wonder was she that wacky when she married Emilio Estevez and that’s why they were only married for five seconds. He probably realized that she may be an asset at the Estevez family get-togethers with her impromptu dancebreaks and all, but she was just too loony to be married to.

Feel free to post or tell me your favorite cheesy songs/vids.
