one thing off my mind...
we managed to file a Domestic Partner Affadavit and insurance amendment form just in time for me to qualify for insurance under TWD's insurance at my former place of employment (where he is still employed.)
we jumped a couple of hoops to qualify--namely, we now have joint accounts. this turned out to be a convenience anyway, as we can now transfer money to that account in order to pay the mortgage as opposed to him giving me a check, me depositing it, and then paying the mortgage out of MY account.
easy peasy. they assured him i would have insurance come January 1st after we filed with our signed document.
it was even notarized!
