The Secret Science Alliance and the Copycat Crook
Eleanor Davis

Julian is determined to make a good impression at his new school.  This time he will be one of the cool kids for sure!  But for all his brains, his plans are foiled when he is unable to repress his brilliance in front of his peers.  Dejected, he is sure he will be friendless and miserable after all.  But then suddenly he finds himself invited into a secret society of inventors!  Who knew that the tough girl in the bike helmet and the seemingly dumb jock were actually also science whizzes!  Together they create all kinds of great things in their secret hideout...until the day their notebook goes missing.  And suddenly a local scientist announces his brilliant new invention...which clearly has been stolen from The Secret Science Alliance.

An incredibly fun graphic novel filled with detailed illustrations packed with jokes, diagrams, clever  plans and crazy inventions.  Any tween with a fondness for science and adventure will eat this up!  Recommended for grades 5 and up.
