Eee! I entered the sixth oicontest, and I managed to win a judge's choice award for one of my icons. Since 108 icons were entered, I'm very happy.

It's really quite amazing how using different gradients and blending options can change an icon. I often make multiple versions of the one icon, and then cull them down until I'm left with just one or two.

Well, my entries in the second OIcontest didn't do particularly well, which is sad, but there you go. Interestingly (well, for me anyway) is that most people had three (or more) distinct images on their icons, whereas only a few people made a composite entry, where three (or more) images were merged into one.
