Relieved
Last night was our companies 6th Anniversary Party at this restaurant called Cibo. Billie and I met the Audio Visual company we rented the equipment from at the restaurant a couple hours before the event. I had never worked a mixer or a projector before with my laptop so I was really hoping it would work. The volume was completely off from scene to scene and so we were making changes up into the last minute. We had cocktails and appetizers then a nice sit down dinner. They did pre arranged seating so we couldn’t sit in our normal cliques which I thought was a good idea. We were really forced to meet other people and even though our company is small we aren’t too close. It was kinda sad to see everyone with their spouses or boyfriends/girlfriends and just a handful of us were without. I wanted so badly to be introducing everyone to Aaron but maybe in due time.
So, after dinner Billie and I started the video and it was perfect. Everyone laughed and I even saw some tears. All that hard work really paid off and the partners were so appreciative in their speeches. I love doing things like this. Maybe I should look into a more advanced program and start doing this for fun or side money.
I didn’t get home until almost midnight and after my 5 or 6 glasses of wine, I just wanted my bed.
So much for getting back into the gym.
