[Hi Simon, guess who's passing by today? Anise is still on Tokunaga, looking for Ion, but she decides to take a break and pass by Simon's place for now.]

Simon? What're you doing out in the cold?

[You're going to make yourself sick, being out in the cold so much :| She catches him off guard, though, so he jumps, quickly clenching his hands into fists and hiding them, embarrassed by whatever he was trying to do.]

[What was he trying to do? Anise peers closer, since she definitely saw him hiding his hands away.]

Ohh? Out here? And what'cha got there? [is it a present]

Ah... [Now he's even more embarrassed, drawing his hands back in front of himself- after a quick check to make sure there's nothing there.] N-nothing... doing worry about it.

Doesn't look like nothing...~ Come on, it can't be that bad! [- peering over his shoulder! Which doesn't accomplish much, because he's got an inch or two over her, so.]

W-well... I don't know if... [He unclenches his fists carefully to show that they're empty. Not sure if he feels relieved or disappointed, though.] ...I don't think I can do it.

No, I... [Urrrgh, looks like he really does have to explain. Sigh. He reaches into his coat and tugs out his drill, holding it in his palm.] When I was bigger, during the last experiment, I wrote myself a letter. It said that I have a special power... and that Kamina's right, the drill is my soul. If I can learn to use that power, maybe I could really learn to fight, and help people. Usually the drill only glows when I use Lagann, though... and he's not here.
