Another year of wearing uniform and having to wear the honor of respecting the ones who are no longer with us.
It's getting harder as the years go by. Day after day, you get to appriciate life a bit more. To know people who are worth this endless spin. To create and take part in situations that would change you forever.
But then you realize there are so many people just like you - about 18-25 year olds who will never experience this growing-up process. Who will forever stay in their friends' hearts just the way they were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 (and hopefully more) years ago. The past year made it so hard on some of us; Families and friends of the ones who were ordered to go to war, but more heartbreaking - for the ones who chose to go to war. And fight for us, celebrating Israel's 59 Independance Day. Today. Without them.
