"When the Stars Smile," for tarion_anarore

Tarion asked for a meeting between the sons of Finarfin and Caranthir, preferably with a bit of angst. As I came into this story after writing a lot of the heavier stuff, this story turned into something of a funny affair, but it talks about teenaged first love quite a bit, so angst is guaranteed, although hopefully of the funny variety.

Lol, I loved reading this! It's so amusing to read about teenage, insecure Feanorians and especially Carnistir. He's adorable.

"At least, it makes Tyelkormo’s eyes go funny at the corners, stretched like a cat’s, and I can’t imagine that’s pleasant."

Uuuu... pretty Feanorian! Reading your stories has me in Tyelkormo mood for this 1st Day of Christmas!

Taryindë is one great girl! I like a woman who can drink fellows under the table. And I laughed a lot when reading the scene that had her being fussed over by Maitimo, Makalaure and Tyelko, while her drinking buddy was busy swooning over Amarie.

“That lord’s daughter from Formenos-“ he snickers with delicate fingers pressed to his perfect, shapely lips-“she fainted at the mere sight of you.”

My, my... looks like the Feanorians are not the only cocky ones.

"(I have always harbored the secret theory-which I intend to prove with experiments on Tyelkormo-that blondness is somehow associated with flagrant ignorance of anything that is not likewise golden and shiny. My cousin and the lovely Amarië are not helping to disprove this theory.)"

Lol! This was spot on! My poor ribcage still aches from all the laughter.

The whole detailed pondering on what it would be like to smack Findarato was so sween and a little unnerving. I'm sorry for Teh Namesake, but I'd have punched him just for the fun of it and to see the shock on his perfect face. Hey, Carnistir could have blamed it on the wine and he'd have earned himself no more than a snicker from Feany.

*sings* On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, Tyelkormo in a pear tree...

wearing nothing and wielding his sword quite formidably....

*dodges tomatoes*

I guess I did have a lot of stories with Celegorm in them, didn't I? It doesn't help that I sometimes think I have every raving Celegorm fangurl on my flist. Well, everyone but myself, and I don't think I count for those purposes.

Taryindë is one great girl! I like a woman who can drink fellows under the table.

Not me! I'm such a lightweight...I wish I could do this.

Taryinde actuallly has a cameo in AMC, although she is much younger at the time and I hadn't named her yet.

Lol! This was spot on! My poor ribcage still aches from all the laughter.

:^D I was very light blond in my youth but my hair has darkened to almost brown now. Still, I maintain a flagrant ignorance of all that is not golden and shiny.... ;)

Lol! Hey, I couldn't let love get rid of all of Carni's temper. Quite the opposite, it seems. But, just so you know, Teh Namesake is glowering at you, as well as the muse for my NaNo story who is named (don't be shocked at the originality here) Felak...I think he thought you meant him.

*huggles Felak and Findarato too for good measure*

He he he! You cut me deep with that one, Dawn! And to show you just how deep, here is what Tyelkormo would be lookin' like, nekkid and doing unspeakable things with his formidable sword:

Kinda explains why I'm a raving Celegorm fangurl at the moment.

So Teh Namesake is glowering at me, eh?

*glowers right back*

At Findarato, of, course, because I do not know Felak and the little that I do know sounds charming. Though I think I read something about him and Feany getting into a hair-pulling fight, in which case I'll be glowering at him too.

*hugs Feany and pats his poor head. Wonders just how much dark hair was pulled in order to establish if other measures than glowering need to be taken.*

I think you should ask Bobby to read this story because it's light, funny, not too naughty and I think he'd enjoy Carni's turmoil.

The link didn't work. :( But I will try again at home as the work comp is wonky at best.

Lol! Felak is a dear. (It feels so weird to talk about Felak since I always call myself Felak too. It's not a self-insert--that'd be weird since Felak is male--really, I'm just bad at making up names.)

Yes, my NaNo Elves sometimes fight with my Silmarillion Elves because they both tend to want my attention 24/7. I like to be equitable, but that's not good enough for certain of them. *coughcough* Feanor! *coughcough* Really, though, it's not a fair fight to pit a 7.5-foot Noldo against Felak, who's short and rather smallish. (Although good with a sword. Ahem.) My half-Elf Belegil might fare better but he's neurotic and tends to hide underneath the furniture when the Noldor even come into the room.

So trust me, more Midhavens Elves end up hurt in their fights than Silm Elves. Belegil usually hides, and then it's eight on one. Poor Felak.... *huggles Felak*

Thanks! I will make note of it and include it in the poll later this week. :)
