"When the Stars Smile," for tarion_anarore

Dec 21, 2005 14:19

Tarion asked for a meeting between the sons of Finarfin and Caranthir, preferably with a bit of angst. As I came into this story after writing a lot of the heavier stuff, this story turned into something of a funny affair, but it talks about teenaged first love quite a bit, so angst is guaranteed, although hopefully of the funny variety.

I joined silwritersguild a long time ago, and posted something awhile ago too. I came across your journal and really liked with AMC, but I never commented.
Probably because I was too shy or something. I never had anything other to say besides the fact that I loved it. :\
Just like this one...only this made me so so happy~
It was so cute and so funny. Your Caranthir just scored favorite right now. He's so different.

(Tyelkormo has always preferred “retarded” but I’m not sure that I share in his liking of this particular word.)
I must be sixteen if I found this really really funny.
Hah!
Sorry.

I'm happy for Caranthir. :]

Hello! Yes, I remember you from over SWG way. ;) Thanks for letting me know that you're reading along with AMC too!

Understandable. :) I was quite shy for most of my life, so I understand. But please don't feel that you have to be shy here! I love talking to fellow writers and Silmfans, so feel free to chime in anytime. :)

And don't believe what some of the others might tell you about how Dawn Felagund is evol :^P

Your Caranthir just scored favorite right now. He's so different.

I'm a shameless Carni fangurl. Okay, I'm a shameless fangurl of all of the Feanorians, but Carni's a lot of fun to write with his sarcastic-yet-melodramatic wit.

I must be sixteen if I found this really really funny.
Hah!
Sorry.

Lol! No problem! I'm 24 but still love me some crude and silly humor. (And, reading down the comments a ways, it seems tarion_anarore laughed at it too, and she's not 16, so.... ;^D ( ... )

Lol, I loved reading this! It's so amusing to read about teenage, insecure Feanorians and especially Carnistir. He's adorable ( ... )

Uuuu... pretty Feanorian! Reading your stories has me in Tyelkormo mood for this 1st Day of Christmas!

*sings* On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, Tyelkormo in a pear tree...

wearing nothing and wielding his sword quite formidably....

*dodges tomatoes*

I guess I did have a lot of stories with Celegorm in them, didn't I? It doesn't help that I sometimes think I have every raving Celegorm fangurl on my flist. Well, everyone but myself, and I don't think I count for those purposes.

Taryindë is one great girl! I like a woman who can drink fellows under the table.

Not me! I'm such a lightweight...I wish I could do this.

Taryinde actuallly has a cameo in AMC, although she is much younger at the time and I hadn't named her yet.

Lol! This was spot on! My poor ribcage still aches from all the laughter.

:^D I was very light blond in my youth but my hair has darkened to almost brown now. Still, I maintain a flagrant ignorance of all that is not golden and shiny.... ;)

The whole detailed pondering on what it would be ( ... )

He he he! You cut me deep with that one, Dawn! And to show you just how deep, here is what Tyelkormo would be lookin' like, nekkid and doing unspeakable things with his formidable sword ( ... )

The link didn't work. :( But I will try again at home as the work comp is wonky at best.

At Findarato, of, course, because I do not know Felak and the little that I do know sounds charming. Though I think I read something about him and Feany getting into a hair-pulling fight, in which case I'll be glowering at him too.Lol! Felak is a dear. (It feels so weird to talk about Felak since I always call myself Felak too. It's not a self-insert--that'd be weird since Felak is male--really, I'm just bad at making up names ( ... )

Before I read this I just have to say...

So that's why I got a disgusted, long-suffering sigh from good ol' Caranthir when I was trying to write your "Son of Feanor romance"!!!!!! ;P

Lol! GMTA it seems!

(I think if we had a dime for every time we had to say that, I could open Nelyo's right this minute and you could finance the rest of your college education!)

LOL!!

This is greatness!! I hope Carni didn't knock that loose tooth out when he fell...;P *secretly thinks it would be pretty darn funny if he did*

*plots with Carnistir to break up Finrod/Amarie and take the respective pieces for ourselves*

Thank you muchly!! :D

You're very welcome! :)

*secretly thinks it would be pretty darn funny if he did*

*snerk* All he'd need then would be a banjo, a shotgun, and one of those plaid wool jackets and we'd have our first redneck Elf!

I can hear him hollering after Melkor and the Silmarils: "Y'all come back now, y'hear!"

*plots with Carnistir to break up Finrod/Amarie and take the respective pieces for ourselves*

*plots to steal Finrod from Tarion*

Ooops...did I say that out loud?? 0:^D

O.o *scared*

Now I've got an elf hiding behind the Christmas tree...

Ooops...did I say that out loud??

Um, yes, you did. Thanks for the heads up! (Not that I didn't see that coming from a mile away, and plan accordingly!) ;P

"I have always harbored the secret theory-which I intend to prove with experiments on Tyelkormo-that blondness is somehow associated with flagrant ignorance of anything that is not likewise golden and shiny. My cousin and the lovely Amarië are not helping to disprove this theory."

*drops dead with laughter*

"Tyelkormo laughs at this, but Tyelkormo has a stupid sense of humor to match his equally witless behavior, and Macalaurë goes back to strumming some song that includes a line about the “sweet mead of love”: case in point, I think, as my second-eldest brother is revered as the best poet and singer of the Noldor, but if this particular song-and this particular line-were to be exported to a distant civilization, they would likely come to the reliable conclusion that we are a bunch of blathering idiots."

Why do I feel that Carni grumbles most about those he loves best?

I am blond--albeit dark blond--but I remember shopping with my mom once, and she needed to get me out of the shoe department, so she held up a sparkly shirt and said, "Look! Dawn! Shiny!" and laughed as I literally ran across the aisle to look at it. So I feel for poor Fin and Amarie. ;)

Why do I feel that Carni grumbles most about those he loves best?

Lol! I think Carni just likes to grumble. Period. :)
