It's been a while since I chatted about my Weekend 3 doings.  I fell out of the habit in the chaos of travel and returning home from the cruise, but I've quietly been trying to get back on top of them lately.  This past weekend was a good example of what I've encountered.

One day, about a year ago, Dean was mowing the lawn, and it struck me that it was really a pain in the neck, because he'd have to move all of the furniture on to the driveway or drag it around as he was mowing. Of course, if you are an artist, you already know that I'm being facetious.  Humidity is dreadful to try and work through.  Paint doesn't want to dry, paper wants to curl and sag, and because there's so much moisture, ink tends to smear more than usual.  But since ( Read more... )

So, last weekend was a bit of a mess.  On Saturday, when doing my regular chores, I discovered that our guinea pig was critically ill.  An emergency trip to the vet ensued, followed by hours of nursing him.  In terms of handling an unexpected emergency, we all performed admirably, but in terms of personal productivity, the day was a complete waste.
