they say it's your birthday
my father, had he lived, would be 71 years old today. my mother told me that the other day. he passed on in 1970 at the very young age of 31. I was not quite five yet. I have memories of him, but none are that clear any more. the main ones I remember are watching Star Trek (the rock monster from the episode "The Savage Curtain" and Spider-man cartoons. thanks to mom transferring old 8mm film to video I can see him in action a lot more now.
many people when asked who they would want to meet out of anyone in history usually say "Jesus" or perhaps "Moses". I would love to meet my father.
this is the first time I've ever written about him to any degree, incidentally. I am glad I had the nearly five years to know him.
