Looked at a house in Rochester hills today that was very promising. Good location, way in the back of the sub, far away from all major roads. The yard and outside of the house looked great fairly far back from the street. The backyard was very large, sure it means more lawn to cut. The inside layout with three okay sized bedrooms and 1 small but

Hmmm... No basement... While it may not be a big thing for you, It may be down the road if you get married and have a family in that house. And not being able to have easy access to the furnace/water heater can be an issue. Trust me on this.

I would keep looking.

Any word on that newly bank owned house?

The one taken over by the bank is still not on the market, and I hate to say it the clocking is ticking. Many of these homes are short sales or foreclosures, even if I put a bid on one, they can take their sweet time waiting for a better offer before deciding.
