Very late week 10 news

Even though all but one of the Week 11 games are in the book, here are the ratings through Week 10.

Through some magic that only preschoolers posess, my spreadsheet was corupted. When I attempt to open it all I get is a text document full of “#”. So, for the third time this season I re-created the spreadsheet. Somehow the numbers in this version seem a little cleaner. We'll see. I thnk there was a slight error in one of my formulas, or perhaps in the data entry in the one of the previous incarnations. Either way, here are last week's ratings.
1 New England Patriots 113.76
2 New Orleans Saints 112.81
3 Indianapolis Colts 112.05
4 Baltimore Ravens 107.97
5 Cincinnati Bengals 107.81
6 Minnesota Vikings 105.65
7 Arizona Cardinals 105.64
8 Dallas Cowboys 105.39
9 Atlanta Falcons 105.25
10 New York Jets 105.03
11 Pittsburgh Steelers 104.86
12 Philadelphia Eagles 103.98
13 Miami Dolphins 103.42
14 Houston Texans 102.8
15 Green Bay Packers 102.77
16 Denver Broncos 102.59
17 San Diego Chargers 102.29

20 San Francisco 49ers 99.62
21 Chicago Bears 98.34
22 Carolina Panthers 97.26
23 Tennessee Titans 94.89
24 Jacksonville Jaguars 94.43
25 Buffalo Bills 93.07
26 Washington Redskins 92.39
27 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 90.54
28 Kansas City Chiefs 89.62
29 Detroit Lions 87.26
30 Cleveland Browns 87.11
31 Oakland Raiders 85.67
32 St. Louis Rams 84.19

My sister Karen was dismayed that the Pats were in first place. This is actually due to one of the weaknesses in the system. The Pats numbers are a little higher due to the massive drubbings they handed out to the Titans and Bucs. Some versions of this system cap blowouts at 21 points to reduce this factor. Personally, I'm too lazy and that would require too much critical thought. My ratings involve absolutely no critical thought. I just run the numbers.

On the Tragic Number front, I'm pleased to announce that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team to have absolutely no chance of winning their division. It is no longer mathematically possible.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0
Detroit Lions 1
Cleveland Browns 2
Tennessee Titans 2
Carolina Panthers 3
St. Louis Rams 3
Chicago Bears 4
New Orleans Saints 4
Atlanta Falcons 4
Jacksonville Jaguars 4
Houston Texans 4
Oakland Raiders 4
Kansas City Chiefs 4
