The Faversham Formulation

Aug 28, 2012 20:01

I popped over to Faversham this morning to get some pipe tobacco from a newsagent which sells the loose stuff in jars. Walking down Preston Street i looked at the vinyl in the "Your Shop" chazzer. Found this 12" single for 25p. Checked in the library's internet and saw that it is selling for £25 on Discogs. I immediately put my found near mint copy on there for fifty pence less. A great find , and one that my knowledge of music has helped me to bag a bargain! Studio One is one of the greatest Jamaican lables and this 1998 reissue on Soul Jazz Records is a promo copy and is quite rare.

I discovered my old corn cob pipe but the stem was broken so i had a spare stem and it worked perfect. That is now five pipes in my collection with another i grabbed via Ebay as well to arrive in the post.

Finally, Spot and i are talking again. He opened up to me once i said i was totally fed up with him and knew that something had been troubling him since his visit to the hospital on Friday. He has told me not to divulge it to anyone, but i can assure you folks it is nothing to do with the big C.

This is that 12" single. Groovy funky reggae. Dig it.
