Monday Musings

This morning I saw the burse at the surgery to redo my leg dressing. This should have been done last week but again it was cancelled. Anyway, she also decides to check my blood pressure in both my arms and the bottom of my legs. She then politely told me that I would need a lifestyle change, so you know where this is going, and that I have high blood pressure. Not very high but high enough to reduce my weight, mainly in the stomach area. One thing she did say that was positive is my cholesterol is fine so I do not have to worry about that.

So next Monday I will have an ECG, and then further on from that, a discussion with my doctor about achieving these lifestyle changes. That means less real ale or booze in general. I am not an alcoholic but maybe I sometimes drink too much. I guess it will be in moderation such as the occasional beer or wine.

Before going to the surgery, I popped into the charity store and picked up a magazine rack. A nice sturdy one that will hose some of my Wire magazine collection.

Back home now deciding what I might have for lunch or dinner. Really, I am not that bothered at the moment as I am not hungry.

magazines, charity shop, doctors, surgery
