Just Wondering

How into music were you as a kid?

What artists did you collect the most or do you still collect them?

If you could have a VIP/backstage pass to any performer/group in history (dead or alive), who would it be?

just wondering

i have always enjoyed music, especially things i could sing along with. only more recently have i appreciated classical as well, but i am still a novice. don't think i would ever rank as an audiophile, though. as a small kid it was the country and easy listening of the 70s that my mom listened to. in the 80s it was mostly pop and classical rock, although my mom also introduced me to show tunes by taking me to some musicals. in the 90s, i became more interested in harder rock, alternative, and grunge. more or less that's what i still like, but mixed a bit with everything else.

i don't think i had more than one album or casette from anyone as a kid. i don't really buy much music anymore, but ones i have multiples for are U2, Green Day, NIN, Garth Brooks (box set), Jimmy Buffett (box set), Janis Joplin (box set), Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin (box set), Foo Fighters...probably forgetting someone, but i think this has most of the larger sets.

i'm not really into famous people (or most people anymore, to tell the truth). fame, money, power just seems to inflate egos and over develop the a$$hole gene that most people seem to carry anyway. if i like their music, fine, i will listen to their music, but i don't want to cater to idiocy anymore. now, if you know someone personally and they are intelligent and not an egomaniacal jerk and i like their work, then maybe i will give it a try. 😏
