Wednesday Musings

Well,it has been a rather mild day again , around 13 to 15 degrees C, which is very warm for th time of year. However the forecast is for colder times next week.As long as it stays dry i will not mind as i have a busy week then.

So,i have listened to all six CD's of the Karin Krog anthology. They are roughly 40 minutes each so it did not take too long to get through them. The discs are split up into themes, with once CD being big band, another duos and another the blues, and so on.

Much of the day i have been either reading or listening to music or the radio. I am still reading the Paul Dirac biography, as well as a couple on Russia and its revolution.

I have also dipped back into the Letters To Sartre book for Simone de Beavoir's residence in America circa 1949. She met a few famous people such as Arthur miller and Man Ray. The Paul Dirac biography,"The Strangest man", whilst fascinating, is a slow slog getting through it.

I have ordered the Coltrane Impulse Anthology, which is one of those sets i use to have quite a few years ago. I found a cheap set of them on Discogs.

I was going to post this earlier but i got sidetracked tonight bu noticing a band jam session at the Quays. I joined in ,playing bongos, talking drums, shaker and tambourine.

Then i had a goon the drum kit. That was cool.
