I have to admit I don't understand the need for spontaneity that some people feel. The way I see it life throws enough curve balls my way to keep it interesting. Planning helps me stay on my toes and prepare me for those curve balls. Planning does not make my life dull.

The glut of media and information available now, thanks in large part to the Internet, makes me feel old. In the past I have tried but I can't keep up with it and I'm about ready to throw in the towel. I'm starting to think about how I spend my time in the morning and evening. It seems to take me quite some time to get out the door in the morning. Consume, consume, consume. That's all it feels like I do with my free time these day. That's not entirly accurate but that's how it feels. I definitely don't do as much writing as I did a few months ago. It doesn't feel healthy to keep things the way they are. I'm in favor of change but not stagnation.
