Have you read Elissa Carey's essay on the liminal? I think you two have much to talk about. :)

And you've worked with Eric "Mr. Sobersides" Flint. :)

Correction; Elissa's essay is on the interstitial. Which can be liminal, but doesn't have to be. So, how is the story coming?

(Grin) Poor Eric. He's a good guy, but sometimes he probably thinks I am a nutbar. Story is making slow progress.

Dave, you are quite a remarkable poet. I am a fan of fantasy myself. I want to read one of your books. Which one do you recomend that I read first? Laura

Laura, I write a variety of genres - hard sf, space opera, humor- sf and fantasy, alternate-history fantasy, and the latest (which comes out in October - Dragon's Ring) high fantasy. There is quite a lot available on the Baen Free Library if you don't mind reading on screen. If you're not put off by very fat books I suppose SHADOW OF THE LION is the right place to start. A MANKIND WITCH is set in that universe and is shorter and a stand-alone (despite it's horror-story cover it is fantasy and a romance of sorts. (Smile) I am a moderately terrible poet (as someone who sets his standards at Yeats) but I do like to experiment with using words that carry far more than just their direct meaning - which is what I was doing in that short piece.
