I push down on your face
My hand over your mouth
Hoping you'll bite it gently.
Your hand flies up and graces
My cheek with a reminder
That I shouldn't push down so hard.
So I wane
As though drunk
I slide back.
You push me aside
And lean into my throat with
Both hands
Until I can't feel my body anymore
And my brain is floating
Somewhere else
I feel myself traveling up
My throat until
I start to feel daylight
I feel myself exhale
And remember
That I'm supposed to inhale next.
Then I'm breathing
Unsure of where
Or why.
