The Short Version...
...hopefully I'll feel like elaborating a little in a few days.
Thursday morning I woke up around 5am with a small pain in my stomach and feeling a bit feverish, so I called in sick to work. When Ann left for work at 7am, it was worse but still tolerable. By 8am I was calling for her to take me to the emergency room and by 2pm they had removed my appendix.
I feel okay all things considered. I haven't had to take any pain meds yet today- probably will tonight, though. I have to sleep on the couch because the waterbed is too hard to get in and out of right now. I go back to the doctor Wednesday to get it all checked out again.
