My horrible japanese pornographic comedy

Jul 30, 2008 06:46

I've been humming and hawing about whether or not to post about this for some months now (in part because I know there are some people, like my mother, who read this journal and who really, really wouldn't "get" what I'm doing here), but my need to share the bizarre fruits of my genius is such that I cannot in all good conscience keep it to myself ( Read more... )

Well, wait until you see the next one. I feel I can encompass all six types of beauty again and then branch out into a seventh.

Have you read Freezer Full of Dreams yet?

I reccommend you do so, then.

And look forward to my current WIP, tentatively entitled "A Kentucky Barmaid in Louis the 13th's Court".

(secretly, I do too; the fact that it's an endless horror show has little bearing upon this fact, but I felt it was a valid insight in and of itself)

So, what do you think of my contribution to the medium?

Thanks for the warning this time. The furfags thing you posted earlier...um, that coulda used a warning too (but I agreed with your point). :D

I like some Japanese stuff. Azumanga Daioh is pretty good. But then I read this one fashion magazine, and it was just...bizarre, and not in a good way. It had a combination of cuteness and despair. A comic at the end showed the story of a guy dying because of a disease that made him grow flowers all over himself.

From what you're saying, it sounds like there's more more to your opinion about Japanese culture. What makes you say they erode human dignity? I heard that their cars are actually very well made, and that when they first emerged in the industry, they kicked butt for quality.
