I've been slowly making my way through Homestruck. I absolutely love it, I just keep forgetting to go back to it, so sometimes I'll spend hours reading it, then I'll forget about it for days at a time before I go back and read more.

Well, getting through the thousands of pages there is a days-if-not-weeks long process. How far into it are you? And have you gotten into Problem Sleuth?

I'm at the part where John and Rose are in those weird worlds, like Johns is the dark world with all those clown guys, and Rose is in the rainbowy world, and everyone is being pestered by trolls.

Ah, yes. Good times. That's around the time where everything really starts kicking into high gear.

The trolls, as you've likely discerned, eventually become full-fledged and awesome characters. CarcinoGeneticist remains one of my favourite characters in the series. He's such an amazing spaz, he never fails to make me laugh with his constant apocalyptic freakouts.

Am I right in thinking Rose is one of your favourite characters? I would think her acid tone and bizarrely abusive relationship with her mom would speak to you.

She's a little too gothy for me. I really like Jade!

Ah, I couldn't remember whether or not she had been introduced properly (as in, given a name and appeared in person) yet by that point. Have you heard her "Advanced Bass Solo" yet? That song, "The Beginning of Something Really Excellent" is by far my favourite song in the entire series so far. The full version, which you can listen to for free on the music webpage, is even better.

Mind you, EVERYTHING takes a long time to happen with that girl. Believe it or not, as of the current point in the story, she remains the only character in the story that still hasn't entered The Medium!

Yeah Rose and John are the only ones in the medium so far. I'm pretty sure I've heard the song, but I don't remember it.

I love all the music that's been in it so far. I seem to recall a part where she was playing the bass, I just don't remember what the song sounds like! But if you say this is it, then I believe you.

There's actually two occasions on which she plays the bass guitar. The first time was a fairly simple little version of this song. The second time, she plays this much more magnificent and epic form. Perhaps you've gotten to the first, but not the second?

Yeah that's probably it. If we're basing it off the cover art, the only one who is in the outfit shown on the cover is John so far.

Yeah, once Dave and Rose get around to playing with their Punch Designixes, Totem Lathes and Alchemiters, they come up with super-slick outfits like John does. Jade, naturally, we're still waiting on.

We have a really good reason to believe she will eventually, which I won't get into for spoilery reasons. I suspect it'll be really really soon, actually.
