I decided to go to London today as a Work Avoidance Technique.
Wandered around Camden fairly aimlessly and then decided to walk down Oxford Street.
I discovered that Selfridges of all places were having a Punk exhibition so decided to check it out.
I wandered in and found lots of people sitting expectantly in rows of chairs so I decided to join them.
Well my feet were hurting and it was nice and warm.
I was somewhat surprised when the speaker turned out to be Steve Strange, and was much more surprised when I discovered that he was only there to introduce the main speakker - Malcolm Mclaren.
He spoke for about an hour and a half on his escapades at Art College and setting up the infamous Kings Road shop "Sex" with Vivienne Westwood.
He then answered questions and gave a long description of how the Sex Pistols came to be formed.
A very worthwhile afternoon - particulary since it cost nowt.
But what the hell is the world coming to - I ask you - Selfridges!!!???!!!
