Ice was tired already, and she'd barely made it out of bed.
When she entered the Inne, she was unsurprised at the size of the crowd. Laurel's violet eyes followed her, though Ice was focused on her eldest daughter. Belle offered no defense for herself, and at least had the good grace to keep her eyes lowered.
"I'm sure we're expecting more," Ice began. "But there's no sense in waiting around for everyone who might show up to show up. The way things stand right now, we have until midnight to retreive them. Anyone who isn't rescued by midnight stands a very real chance of dying." She knew no one wanted to hear that, but that was the cold, hard truth of things.
"Damion is a different breed of Chaos than Acevona was. She was soft. He won't be. He aims to kill, and he will. If there's a loophole, he'll exploit it. If there's a shot, he'll take it. This is very, very serious, and I don't want anyone going to Riverfell for a rescue who isn't prepared to risk their life."
Exhaling softly, she moved around the room as she regarded them.
"I am open to suggestions for strategy, but I want to make things very clear to you. He will be expecting this, and there is no stipulation in place to keep the Riverfellians from killing the rescuers. If you engage them, you risk your life." Ice knew she was harping on it a bit, but she wanted no false impressions, no chants of 'no one told me' or anything like that.
"Aside from the midnight deadline, I haven't heard anything regarding who can or can't go over, or what may or may not happen. Some of you may have your powers crippled or negated, but I don't know this for certain." Her eyes drifted to her children, then to the witches like Chase. "Or we may be able to breeze in there, full powered and simply take them by force." She splayed her hands. "We'll see when it happens, but I want to plan for all contingencies - including the ones we wouldn't think of. I know we're in a hurry to rescue them, but there's no sense in rushing in there, doing it wrong, and fucking everything up."
She looked around slowly. "That said, I suggest a full force attack in the highest traffic area while we send small parties to seek out our residents. Since our -- since Jaime is among those captive, we cannot rely on her to find people for us. I'd like to ask those of you with heightened senses of smell or those of you who can sense minds to volunteer for the seeking missions - unless you feel you're better suited for combat. Those of you close to someone lost, if you could retreive some article of their clothing for our seekers to smell, that would be appreciated. Also, if someone could retreive Lily, Luna, and Katrina's wands ... they could aid us once they're rescued."
If they're in any condition to, she thought wryly, grimacing slightly.
"This is simply a suggestion, however. If anyone has better ideas, I'm willing to listen to them."
