"It wasn't so much a place to keep ourselves hidden" Okay that was a bit of a lie, but not fully. "..but a place to keep us all in one spot. Granted we have the Comm Links for that. It just made things easier. You know, helped keep us with in reaching distance. Plus it allowed Adam to run tests whenever he needed to make sure our genetic make up as still in sync. Kept an eye on our DNA mutations and such." Was he babbling? Yes. It was out of habit, he missed his old life. Everyone here probably felt the same.

Here he thought tales of Merlin were just that, tales. Guess in a sense he was wrong. He seemed to be wrong a lot lately. Nothing new. He watched with mild amusement as she began to swim around. This was a pool after, swimming is generally what most people did when in such a location. Well there were other options but, yeah he wouldn't dare think of that. He just had to keep reminding himself that while water did indeed make him weak, it didn't make him useless.

It was time for Brennan to just let go. Let loose and unwind for a bit. Relax, have fun, the list could go on for hours with what he should do. Figuring 'the hell with it' Brennan swam after her. Perhaps not after her but with her.

She nodded, but she was content enough to let the conversation lapse. She wondered what tomorrow would bring, and when Chaos was going to have a turn. It was hard to tell, from what she'd heard; there was no schedule or pattern to things.

Once she'd had her fill of the water - so to speak - Danielle moved to the edge to pull herself out. Perching on the ledge, she was content enough to watch him swim. She sort of wondered if he'd be inclined to keep hanging out, or if he'd want some time to get to know the town on his own. Some people liked solitary exploration, after all.

Honestly he had enough of the water bit since he practically set foot in the pool. This time he took the leisurely way out, using the stairs; since by the time he had finished swimming it was closer to him than the edge was. Grabbing a hold of the railing he pulled himself from the water and back onto what he would at least consider dry land. Save for the fact that hew as dripping wet.

At least he figured he'd dry quickly. Shouldn't take too long. Though he made sure to use his hands to shake the water from his dark hair before making his way over to where Danielle had gotten out. Muscle tensed as the air finally caught onto his wet skin, earning a mild, but quickly tossed aside, shiver.

While she didn't stare, she did snatch a couple of glances at the way the wet fabric clung to him. Brows briefly arched appreciatively before she pushed herself up to her feet. She made her way to the bench with her towel, wrapping it around herself before replacing her jewelry. "So what is your plan for the remainder of the evening?" she inquired as she glanced over to him.

She did manage to keep her eyes from straying too much - for the most part. One arm wrapped over her middle to hold her towel on, and the other hung at her side. Her weight shifted slightly before she looked around the pool - but it was as deserted as it had been when she'd come in.

He'd be lying if he didn't say he was rather thankful for the view he had before the towel took care of that. Though he was also thankful that he managed to tuck away that smirk of his before it became visible. That was the last thing he needed, or maybe it was the first. Not something he needed a mental conflict over. At least that was something both brains came to an agreement on. Why, did men have to be created with two brains, and only enough blood to function one at a time? That was the age old question that no one, not even Adam -not his Adam- would be able to figure out.

Using his hand as a form of a squeegee he managed to get most of the water from his upper frame, but the wet converted shorts would take a little while longer. "I don't know. Haven't put a whole lot of thought into it." Which was true. Not to say he wouldn't disagree to hanging out with her longer. Unless she wanted to call in a night. Though, if they were to continue this little chill out session, a change of clothes would probably be needed. At least he still had the clothes he had when he was brought here. Despite being appreciative of the clothes supplied, he'd have to make it a simple task to go shopping for articles that were more his cup of tea, to speak.

Dani bobbed her head in a nod. "Understandable. I did not think much my first day, either, but ... I was very tired by the time they were done with me." She realized that might sound a little ... well. But she had been a little used her first day.

"If you wanted ..." she gestured a little. "I could show you some of the shops that 'ave the best selection for room decor, and ... ah. Clothing. Unless you wanted to wait until tomorrow? I'd be 'appy to take you around after breakfast?"

He gave a soft shrug of his shoulders, though not one for room decor, the clothing sounded decently promising. "..Think they'd have a guitar?" Come to think of it, he hadn't played in a while. That would certainly make his stay far more enjoyable on the nights he decided to stay in. Thankfully he didn't take the bit about her being very tired by the time they were done with her the wrong way. As much as his male tendencies would have loved to toy around with the thought, he knew better. That and the last thing he needed was for her to turn him into soft and fluffy, only to be later named Princess and made to wear little bows. Damn his imagination.

"Doesn't matter to me if it's tonight, or tomorrow. Not like I'm going anywhere." He gave a small smile, honestly, where was he going to go? Nowhere. So why not settle in, mingle, meet new people. Couldn't hurt. Unless he pissed off the wrong person.

"A guitar?" her head tilted curiously, interest piqued. "I do not know if they would 'ave one 'ere, but there is a man with a flute ..." she tried to think if she'd seen any other instruments, but was coming up blank. "Tristan said there is a store that supposedly 'as everything? I could try to find it for you, or 'ave 'im take you there and look around to see if you can find one."

She smiled a little as she tucked her wand between her breasts so the towel was holding it in place - because really, where else was she going to put it? "'ave you been playing long?"

Well now. If a wand sticking out of her breasts didn't become a distraction, what would? Now he had the fun task of fighting to keep his dark brown hues off of that wand. Of course, seeing the wand there automatically made him think of other things that could possibly fit there. Thank the heavens he had such good will power. At least he was able to keep the right brain thinking rather than accidentally begin to fuel the other one. Taking a minute, he closed his eyes to regain his normal brain functions. Granted, that was proving to be a bit ha..more difficult that he expected.

Though he didn't know this Tristan person, the thought of at least getting his hands on a guitar again mellowed him right out. "Perhaps we could go looking for it tomorrow. Together or something." Right now, he was doing everything in his nature to keep his eyes from going to that wand, and its captors.

Dani sucked in her cheeks to try to keep from grinning too much. She thought about asking if she should move it, but no sense in drawing more attention to it. "Tomorrow then, after breakfast?" She paused. "Would you like to meet in the cafeteria around ... eight thirty? Or is that too early?" Maybe he was the sort that slept 'til noon.

Though this was sounding like the evening was winding down. Well, that was fine; she could shower and find a book and cuddle in bed or something.

How he even managed to keep his eyes level with hers, was beyond his fathoming. "Eight-thirty is fine with me." Thanks to the rest of Mutant X and their early training mornings, sleeping in to him was a lost cause. He tried so valiantly to remain a gentlemen and it was just becoming harder by the minute. At least that wasn't growing harder.

"So tomorrow is settled." His head tipped a bit, at least his trunks were drying out, he wasn't dripping nearly as much, plus his skin had adjusted to the cool air of the building as his muscles relaxed fully. "What about the rest of the night? Still up for anything, or call it a night?" He didn't mind either way, honestly, the night life was more his scene. Or at least it used to be.

"Mmm," she frowned a little. "Well, I would like to go 'ave a shower if we are going to do anything else tonight. If you wanted, I could meet you in the lounge later? Or you could wait in my room; it is right across from the lounge. But otherwise, if you want to 'ave the night to yourself to see the town on your own ... then I 'ave some books that could use my attention."

She was fine either way as well; she certainly didn't want to overwhelm him or keep him from getting to know the place.

Brennan tipped his head some as he weighed the options. Shower did sound a bit nice, to at least get the smell of chlorine from him. "We could do the lounge." Of course that came out more suggestive than perhaps which he meant it but it was too late to take it back, and the more he thought of fumbling over it the more it would have looked suspicious; so he just dropped it.
"Or you can read and I can..fumble around for something to do. Doesn't really matter to me. I'm flexible either way."

Okay, he really needed to get himself in check. The more he kept speaking the more innuendo's he kept noticing. He needed to set himself straight but wasn't quite sure how. Letting his mind flutter around the vast array of memories, he settled upon one of a certain blonde. Maybe thinking of Shalimar would be the anchor he needed to ignore the direction of which his mind was trying to take him.

"We are such a decisive pair, non?" She smiled. "So, I will meet you there in say ... 'alf an 'our? That will give us time to shower and per'aps I will find some popcorn and we may watch a movie?"

She looked thoughtful. "Though if someone is using The Couch, per'aps we will retreat somewhere else instead, oui?" See? Not only was there a plan, there was a contingency plan.

"Sounds like a game plan to me." He nodded and shifted out his limbs for a second. It took him a while to realize he hadn't moved an inch since he'd planted himself by her. Thus resulting in not so limber movements. Arms would raise and muscles would contract and release as he stretched out. Once his arms would lower, the tattoo on the inside of his left bicep would once again become hidden.

"So see you at the lounge in thirty?" He chose not question 'The Couch' bit because part of him, really had no hidden desire to know. Of course now it would make him weary about sitting there. Figuring he was at least dry enough by now that he wouldn't leave a trail of water back to his room, motioned with his hands for 'ladies first'.

She watched him stretch, curious and amused before she nodded to his question. "I will meet you there." Not that 'there' was very far, especially for her.

At his gesture, she started out of the pool, shivering when they crossed into the cooler environment of the dorms. Yes, a hot shower followed by cuddling under some blankets would be stellar, she thought.
