This is a song about a whale
Well my classes are done for the moment. I have two weeks off before we start back the first week of January. I had some scary news yesterday. I was minding my own business, doing my laundry before I had to go to work, when my Uncle called to tell me that they had to take my mom to the emergency room because her blood pressure had spiked. She's okay. They actually told her she could go back to work today, but she went to her regular doctor so that they could adjust her blood pressure medicine. This is something new she's on, so it may have not really started taking effect enough for it to have helped yesterday. Apparently, they're going to double her dose.
It sucks because I'm here and I can't help. At least I'll get to go home for a couple of days after Christmas. I'm just really tired of work and school. I wish I could have gotten more time to go home. amiguriken is coming down to spend a few days with me next week, so that should get me through until I can go home.
I got all my shopping pretty much done. I just have to get a few small things. I need to go out and get some wrapping paper and what all, but I haven't had time. I suppose I'll go this weekend and pick up what I need.
Today is my busy day with both class and work. Wed after class, a group of us went out to eat. It was really fun, and I hope we can do it again soon. I still feel very isolated here. Last night as I was driving home at midnight, I realized that if I should have a flat or something, I really had no one to call. That's really sad.
I think I hate it here just a bit, but I hate being at home and having no future even worse.
