-Eirin had considered the fact that this woman, who carried herself in such a way, was quite possibly a very skilled fighter. Of course whether or not that skill lied in long range weaponry was what mattered more. As instead of knocking on the door, or opening it, or eve kicking it down, she...

Starts shooting at it. With hundreds of magic bullets. A danmaku flood.-

[WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT, OH SHI-]

[Dlanor immediately runs toward the nearest window and jumps through it. She's hit in the legs with a few danmaku, and now she's got glass stuck in all sorts of places. And it hurts. It's not supposed to hurt. She hasn't felt pain in centuries.

She needs to close the distance between herself and Eirin somehow. If Gertrude or Cornelia were here...well, nothing for it. Dlanor stands perfectly still, knives pointed at Eirin, and glares at her. She's got a plan, but it all depends on Eirin's next move...]

-And out comes the bow, three arrows fired off in rapid succession. She wasn't taking any chances either.-

[Dlanor strafes to the left, but not in time to avoid the first two arrows. They both hit her in the right shoulder. She flings the knife in her left hand at Eirin and replaces it with the one in her right; with her shoulder out of commission, carrying two will just slow her down.

And she begins to run toward Eirin in a zig-zag pattern. She is slower than she was before, due to the wounds on her legs, but still fast for a human.]

-Dodging knives. It was familiar. Eirin quickly adjusted her footing and dropped her shoulder slightly to the right, pulling her face back as the knife flew past, taking a few silver hairs with it.

Not enough time for a spellcard. She made a small hop backwards, firing off two more arrows.-

[That didn't work. A master of projectiles she was not. Things like that were better left to those annoying Palace Guards...but now she was sorely wishing she'd practiced long-range combat more ( ... )

-... Eirin, outwardly, made it look so easy. Her movements were precise, controlled, and mechanical. Eirin, in combat, knew very few equals. She even intentionally handicapped herself in most cases so as not to appear stronger than Kaguya. Unfortunately... inside her mind... it was a different story.

Inside her mind all she could see was Kaguya's judging stare. Tewi and Reisen's tears. The realization that Eirin had succumbed to this, such a base and HUMAN desire for revenge... it was disgusting.-

Forgive me.

-A command. To who? Dlanor? Kaguya? Tewi? Reisen? Her lost daughter? Herself? Perhaps to all of them...

There was one final arrow shot. She aimed for the head.-

[Pain. Pain. Pain. It was so painful. She thought she'd tossed this away a long time ago. She thought this had disappeared with her father. That she'd killed her sense of pain as soon as she swung the sword down over his head. She'd killed her development, killed her pain, killed her father-

Perhaps she deserved to be executed, after all. Her father's law didn't apply here. In this world...on this game board...she had murdered someone over a trivial thing, maybe she was a monster after all, not because she killed the people here but she killed her father-

And then. Her thoughts dissipate. Her whole body goes numb. She falls to the ground with a wet thump, the knife dropping from her limp hand. Death is the great equalizer - and Dlanor has finally, truly experienced that for herself.]

[ooc: augh, this was short, sorry I'm so fail at fight scenes. ><;]

-Eirin slowly lowered the bow, the arrow blinking out of existence as it became apparent that life flowed from Dlanor no longer. A few breaths drawn... a few moments passed... and Eirin slowly walked over to the girl.

The arrows piercing Dlanor also flashed into nothingness, remaining only as glistening dust in the air above her. Eirin did her best to move her opponent into a dignified position, closing her eyes with a brush of the fingertips against those eyelids.

No prayers. She believed in no gods.

It didn't feel any better. She didn't feel any lift or satisfactory air upon this kill. The memory of the rabbits' bodies still plagued her heart. The feeling of aiding in Minatsuki's suicide still lingered.

She still felt... empty.

A few breaths... a few passing moments... the sparkling dust was gone. Only darkness remained...

She turned on heel to go back to Kaguya.-

[[ Nah, don't apologize. With these two, the fight was bound to be quick anyways one way or the other. ]]
