[That didn't work. A master of projectiles she was not. Things like that were better left to those annoying Palace Guards...but now she was sorely wishing she'd practiced long-range combat more.

Dlanor raises her right arm to block her body, and ends up with two arrows protruding from it. Not like she was expecting anything different...at least she can still move that one, for now. But she's probably not going to last much longer in this condition, so she puts every ounce of energy she has into a final dash, attempting to stab Eirin.]

This trial is finishedfinishedfinishedfinishedfinishedFINISHEDFINISHEDFINISHEDFINISHEDFINISHEDFINISHED...! Die The death! Sentence to death! Great equalizer is The Death!!

[She's not her calm usual self anymore. It's unclear who she's directing her crazed shout at, herself or the enemy before her. But she knows that someone is going to die, so responds in the same manner she would during an execution.

The executioner will be executed for a crime she didn't commit. If Dlanor were in her right mind, she would appreciate the irony.]

-... Eirin, outwardly, made it look so easy. Her movements were precise, controlled, and mechanical. Eirin, in combat, knew very few equals. She even intentionally handicapped herself in most cases so as not to appear stronger than Kaguya. Unfortunately... inside her mind... it was a different story.

Inside her mind all she could see was Kaguya's judging stare. Tewi and Reisen's tears. The realization that Eirin had succumbed to this, such a base and HUMAN desire for revenge... it was disgusting.-

Forgive me.

-A command. To who? Dlanor? Kaguya? Tewi? Reisen? Her lost daughter? Herself? Perhaps to all of them...

There was one final arrow shot. She aimed for the head.-

[Pain. Pain. Pain. It was so painful. She thought she'd tossed this away a long time ago. She thought this had disappeared with her father. That she'd killed her sense of pain as soon as she swung the sword down over his head. She'd killed her development, killed her pain, killed her father-

Perhaps she deserved to be executed, after all. Her father's law didn't apply here. In this world...on this game board...she had murdered someone over a trivial thing, maybe she was a monster after all, not because she killed the people here but she killed her father-

And then. Her thoughts dissipate. Her whole body goes numb. She falls to the ground with a wet thump, the knife dropping from her limp hand. Death is the great equalizer - and Dlanor has finally, truly experienced that for herself.]

[ooc: augh, this was short, sorry I'm so fail at fight scenes. ><;]

-Eirin slowly lowered the bow, the arrow blinking out of existence as it became apparent that life flowed from Dlanor no longer. A few breaths drawn... a few moments passed... and Eirin slowly walked over to the girl.

The arrows piercing Dlanor also flashed into nothingness, remaining only as glistening dust in the air above her. Eirin did her best to move her opponent into a dignified position, closing her eyes with a brush of the fingertips against those eyelids.

No prayers. She believed in no gods.

It didn't feel any better. She didn't feel any lift or satisfactory air upon this kill. The memory of the rabbits' bodies still plagued her heart. The feeling of aiding in Minatsuki's suicide still lingered.

She still felt... empty.

A few breaths... a few passing moments... the sparkling dust was gone. Only darkness remained...

She turned on heel to go back to Kaguya.-

[[ Nah, don't apologize. With these two, the fight was bound to be quick anyways one way or the other. ]]
