hmmm...

I went out to dinner tonight with a bunch of people from my Japanese class + teacher and her daughter. It was much fun. We have sort of been planning this since February, so it was cool to actually go out. We went to this Korean restaurant at 108th & L that has a name that I have since forgotten, as it's a Korean name that I can't pronounce. It started with a K, though. Or at least the first word did. Anyway. We had it as a going away thing for Eunjoong (probably didn't spell that right, it sounds like it should be Ahnchung), who is leaving about the same time I am. Except that she's going on an internship thingy, because she's a dietician or some such thing. She's really cool. ^_^ She was really amazed because I ate Kimchee Jihnyu(also spelled way wrong) soup, and actually liked it. It was so spicy that my tongue felt raw, my nose was running, my body overheated and I started sweating. It was also so delicious that I almost ate the whole bowl, which by itself would have been more than twice as much as I usually eat, except that I also had some of Eunjoong's soup (they laughed at me when I was too squeamish to eat the squid, but it was just... there were suckers still on it!), and a bowl of rice, and some of these delicious potato and brussel sprouts and broccoli side dish thingies, *and* some of Heidi's chicken stuff. And then we went and ate ice cream. God, I ate a lot.
Anyway, the soup was delicious, and it was the spiciest thing I've eaten since I decided that eating raw Jalapeno peppers was a good idea (it isn't, really. Really really not a good idea at all in any way, shape, or form.). ...All this talk of food is making me hungry. The soup was still boiling when they put it in front of me. Twas awesome, but kind of scary. ^_^
But it was really fun, and somehow I managed to promise to email everyone regularly and keep them updated on my college life. Dunno how that happened...

The Killers concert is on Wednesday. Tina's getting tickets for me and Bethanie (oh god please!) since she works there. I completely forgot about the concert, since they've only rescheduled it like 5 times... but Tina reminded me, and now I have to change my work schedule, and they'll be mad at me, because they say specifically every time we do schedules to not put down a day unless you're absolutely sure you can work then. oh,well. Not like I'm quitting next Friday, or anything... Ooh, maybe they'll fire me, and I won't have to wait 2 weeks to quit. *hope hope hope* But, hey, concert! So excited!

Now if only Sara would call me, all would be right in my world...
