Most people haven't lived through it. Makes it harder to know.

I've got no grudge against the people who join up or accept it cause they believe in it, or are too scared to dodge it. But I'm keeping my eyes open. I don't trust the Republic or the Council any more than I trust Revan.

We're on the same side then. The Republic and Council have yet to prove their worth to me and their treatment towards us is only likely continue. Those who join the cause however, [ There's a pause, as Erik considers them for all of five seconds, turning away. ] commendable as it is, they have no idea what they're in for.

They'll be the first ones the Republic will go after, especially in light of their registration and agreement to fight.

We don't know that. The Senators are all dicks, yeah, but you could say that about any government. I'm waiting for it to get worse before I do anything.

Hardly. The Republic isn't the innocent front they appear to be and I'd rather avoid letting Outworlders endanger themselves at the hands of such a government.
