[ Have a fantastic shot of Erik's back. Not like, anywhere lower, but a fantastic shot of his back and you realize the datapad is floating while Erik is plotting dramatics brooding by his window - Thanks Stefan! - hands clasped behind his back. Erik had come back late last night, much to the approval of Charles and has conveniently been filled in

I just have a weakness for the Jedi as opposed to the Sith, and who knows? Maybe out there I'll be able to help somebody. Then again, I'm a tougher nut to crack than most.

If it's anyone you're interested in helping, help us. Not the Jedi or the Sith.

[Eyebrow. up.] And what are you trying to achieve?

All I'm after is the same as everyone else: unity among Outworlders and a safe return home. Regardless of what it takes.

What?

I'd be polite, but seeing as you've jumped the gun with Charles, I'm skipping the formalities.
Where are you staying, Alex?

B-3.

[ He's not even going to acknowledge you except with a shut of the feed and a frown, because he's really not sure what to do with you right now.
Also blah blah time skip. Several hours later have a knock on your door. ]

A war we're not part of and suddenly we're mere tools for them? If anyone's oblivious to the cause it's those that accept the draft.

I've got no grudge against the people who join up or accept it cause they believe in it, or are too scared to dodge it. But I'm keeping my eyes open. I don't trust the Republic or the Council any more than I trust Revan.

We're on the same side then. The Republic and Council have yet to prove their worth to me and their treatment towards us is only likely continue. Those who join the cause however, [ There's a pause, as Erik considers them for all of five seconds, turning away. ] commendable as it is, they have no idea what they're in for.
They'll be the first ones the Republic will go after, especially in light of their registration and agreement to fight.

Well, guess what?
Nobody around here's chained me up for a fun filled month of torture. I got plenty of reasons to see the Sith as an enemy and be more than happy to make 'em pay for it.
Reply
Guess they couldn't keep you dead for long. [ Because the last time he remembered you was Charles telling him you died. ]
Tell me my interest in our kind isn't justified, Logan, and then you can tell me I'm starting crap.
Just because the Republic hasn't done anything yet, you'll fight for their cause? The Sith might be the predominant enemy, but they're all the same, fighting each other, bringing us into this.

If you think for a second that war gives a crap who or what we are, you got another thing comin'. If those Sith take over Coruscant, they sure as hell ain't gonna be sympathetic to "our" cause either. Or anybody's cause.
Doesn't take a genius to figure out they're bad news.

I never said the Sith weren't, Logan. We're on our own in this, we always have been. Joining either side would betray what Charles has been fighting for, what Charles is still fighting for.
If you fight for them Logan, you'll only end up another weapon for them to use at their own will. Who wouldn't want a man of your talents on their side?

She's just going to wibble forever in his general direction and nod. She bites at her lip, looking away.]
Peter never came home last night.

Sylar? [ It's not that hard for him to make that leap, when he's already gone after Claire, and presumably against Nathan and Peter as well. ] Where are you staying right now, dear?

Peter thought so. I do now too, especially since -
[Yeah, nope, not going to talk about the possibility of Peter being dead too. La la la.]
I was at home, waiting for Peter.
[Oh, but now she is crying because life is so hard and she feels bad for being so grateful that Erik is back. She reaches up to wipe her tears away before they have a chance to fall.]
I really missed you.

I had matters to attend to. Among which included a move out of the apartments -- [ Have... coordinates. ]
Perhaps it may be more secure given what's going on lately.
