[ private to outworlders. sort of. ]

[ See, Erik's not very good at this whole technology thing, so you're probably good with replying anyway because he kind of sucks at anything more than filtering one person at a time. In any case, have some audio dialogue with quite a bit of footsteps interrupting because Erik's walking around Coruscant in the ( Read more... )

[Guess where he is kids, just go ahead and guess! Yep, back in the library, standing in front of the table with his hands in his pockets as he stares at a picture of data cards and scrolls. He's debating where exactly to start with this mess.

Still, Erik's voice drew his attention, it couldn't fail to do so and he glanced over at his data pad, tilting his head at the way the he could hear footsteps. Arching an eyebrow, he decides that for now, he's not going to ask.]

I'm quite well, my friend. As I was this morning when you asked. [There is a fondness to his gentle tease. He was genuinely grateful for the care Erik had shown him in the past week.]

[ There's a pause in his step at the sound of that maddeningly familiar voice, the fondness not lost upon Erik in the slightest after the last time they spent together before that one attack. ]

Still just a friend to you, Charles? [ He'll tease back lightly, thankful at least for Charles' repeated insistence that he was in fact, alright. ] You know it doesn't hurt to make sure.

[Caught in the midst of reaching for a scroll, Charles does a bit of a double take in response to Erik's tease and he gives a throaty chuckle.]

As if your ego needs any more of a stroke, [he replies using his most haughty accents.] you impossible man. If you would like both an assurance of my well being, as well as the depth of my esteem I will be more than happy to provide both, so long as you don't get yourself killed.

I won't get myself killed, my friend, [ He'll tease back just as fiercely, mimicking Charles' accent -- not that Erik was any good at it. ] Besides, I do think we have some unfinished business to attend to now that you're supposedly feeling well. Is that library window still free?

As a matter of fact. [He murmurers and a moment later Erik might be able to hear the solid, unique sound of knuckles knocking on glass.] It appears to be quite free, what do you know.

[There is quiet laughter in his tone as he actually leans against said window with his datapad in his hand to carry on the conversation.]

However, I think we proved last time that a bed would be much better suited to our needs, hmmm?

[ He's half tempted to switch from audio to visual at the sound of the rap of knuckle, just to confirm his suspicions but he'll avoid it for now. ]

Something larger than the standard size too, trying to sleep with you last week was hard enough. [ It's meant in jest, but he continues. ]

What do you think about moving out of the apartments, Charles?

[Such a strong will, Lehnsherr.]

Hard for you? [Charles made an indignant noise.] You weren't the one who routinely ended up smashed into the wall.

[There was a pause beat then as he considered the question, nodding before he recalled that Erik couldn't see the action.]

I rather approve of the idea. I don't know how comfortable I am staying in dedicated dormitories. Did you have somewhere in mind?

I haven't decided yet, though you already seem inclined to move as well. [ Not that Erik would refuse Charles, but his teasing had sobered up, the only hint of it evident in his amused tone. ]

Solves the problem of asking my next question, then.

[Putting a target on one's back in the public eye was one thing, just as he had with the Westchester manor, there was wisdom in having an unknown base of operations.]

Humor me? [Ask the question anyway.]

It only seems logical to ask if you'd like to move in with me, Charles.

[ Erik had after all, been graciously invited into Charles' mansion and the CIA before that. The least he could do, what with their relationship taking this turn, moving in seemed like the best choice. Not to mention the possibility of having a safe area to train without Charles having to put up constant veils. ]

[Charles pursed his lip, giving the feed a pause as if he were considering the question.]

It would certainly make it easier to beg you to cook dinner at two am. [Though he sounded like he was in contemplation, he sent along a softer, warm touch directly to Erik's mind, a resounding I'd very much 'like', Erik.]

[ The touch gets its point across and he replies almost immediately. ]

I think I'll ask you to cook for me instead seeing as I'm far too busy tracking terrorists to sit down for a meal.

That's not eating, Charles. And there I was thinking of getting a larger place.

[ a beat before he continues. ]

Might as well settle in for the long term at the rate things are going.
