[When the datapad activates, it takes it a moment to focus in the darkness. The lights are obviously completely out in the room. But the window seems to be opened, if the lights on that side of the room are anything to go by.

And settled in the corner, illuminated by the glowing lines on his skin that aren't being concealed by sleeves or collar or leggings, Tron is sitting in a traditional Lotus position, seemingly oblivious for the moment that the datapad has even turned itself on.

It's been far, far too long since he's had the sentience to practice meditation, and in the past couple of weeks, he's had such a hard time adjusting to everything around him that he hadn't thought to try. Today, though, he'd felt the faint, subtle tickling he'd begun to notice in the back of his head days earlier growing stronger, buzzing and irritating him, making him jumpy and on edge, like his senses were on constant high-alert. Even more then was normal even for him.

So he'd decided to try to center himself. He seemed to have made relative progress, unphased as he was by the device's strange behavior. The glow of his circuits ebbs and pulses ever so subtly, like a slow heartbeat-rhythm, so faint that it is only noticeable now that the lights are completely out.

He really does prefer the lights to be off in his quarters of the apartment. The natural light of the "sun" outside the windows is too harsh during the day and he keeps them shuttered almost from the minute it rises to the instant it sets. Unfortunately, there are too many of the artificial lights that he finds more familiar then the brightly-shining ball of gas, so even at night, they're off as well. His eyes are accustomed to the "nighttime" illumination. He's more then capable of seeing quite clearly by just the illumination of his own circuits and the lights from the buildings outside his window at night.

For a moment, the datapad flickers itself back off. Then back on. And this time, it does seem to get a touch of a reaction out of him. His brow furrows, and the video feed flickers again, deactivating just as he open his eye and glances around. When it reactivates, he's looking fully at it, focusing on it even while maintaining the same position. It flickers again, dims, and reactivates just as he's pulling himself up to reach for it, picking it up and staring at it intently.

His face screws itself into a look of intense concentration for a long moment, and then the datapad shuts off yet again, and when it comes back online this time, there's a broad grin on his face - he hasn't had that expression for a long, long time - and he gives a surprised laugh.

He sets the datapad back down, sitting himself a couple of feet away to stare at it while the grin settles to another look of concentration, and just as the corner of his mouth begins to twitch and his eye narrows, the datapad begins switching between video, audio, text, and back again at random.

By the time it's settled, he's grinning again, laughing to himself in a bright, relieved sound, as if he's been waiting for this to happen for a long time. He scrubs his hand over his face, giving a deep sigh and picking the datapad back up, flipping and playing with the switches without using his hands, just because he can.]

Thank the User-[off-on]-The blast must ha-[Off-on]-attled my connec-[off-audio-video-on]-ffline. Started to worr-[off-on]-as going to be numb the rest of my run-cy-[off-on]! Guess the heali-[text-audio]-unction needed tim-[video]-to repair it.

[It's obvious that whatever he's "connected" to, now that he has it, he's playing with it, practicing and toying with it to strengthen it. After a moment, he lets the constant changing of the datapad stop and suddenly seems to realize something, reaching out to put the datapad down gently, brushing his fingers over the top edge of it as if petting it reassuringly.] Sorry, Programs. I keep forgetting you're in there, it looks so different on this side. I'll let you rest now.

[He smiles at the datapad and deactivates it, letting the device go into "rest" mode. He wonders - not for the first time - if that effects the system inside of it. Oh well, either way, can't hurt.

He doesn't even seem to realize that the entire thing was recorded or on an open connection.  Sure was easier to tell how each Program performed it's function when you were on the inside.]
