I'm home for the summer, and be it as it may, am down a car cause I "totalled" the grampa mobile . . . soooo it's a bit challenging. No one was injured, don't worry, it's just that because the damage to the undercarriage of the car was a lot . . . shame. I hate fishtailing cars on twisty roads in the dark after rainy nights . . . but, I can apparently parallel park between a stone wall pretty well . . . soooo I donno
The Alaskan Cruise my family and I took at the beginning of the summer was AMAZING, but I only wish it were a smidgen warmer and our room had been bigger . . . we had to fit 4 people into a small room, and it was kinda squishy when it came to storing things. We went on to see Vancouver and Washington. My absolute favorite spot was in one of the "hotel"s we stayed at. It was on a beach with LOTS of driftwood of all sizes and it was perfect. The Kalaloch Lodge was the name of the place, in Kalaloch, WA. The rooms were little cabins with bathroom and kitchen area. <3
and now for something a little bit different: my "grandmother" died at the end of last month and the funeral went as well as funerals go, with a lot of people crying and a lot of family and people I don't know (she was my uncle's mom . . . my mom's two sister's husband's mom . . . both my mom's sister's married brothers). My cousin ended up coming home from Dubai (he's a traveling journalist) and lately, he's only been coming home because of family emergencies . . . BUT I hope to see him on a different occasion when we hopefully go over and visit him in January during my winter break for a few weeks :) sooo pumped.
Right now, I feel very appathetic towards life. I mean, I can't WAIT for band to start again cause there's always fine times had, but at the same time, with band comes the realization that I still haven't declared a major yet and I'll be a junior. My STUPID GPA has thrown me for a loop that's keeping me back, and now I'll be at UMass till like 2010 or 2011, depending on how classes go. I hate that part. Super Super Senior here I come . . . ugh. So many useless classes, so not enough towards my major. At least I picked one though . . .
oh, and I've lost some weight too :)
down 10 pounds since the start of summer :D
we're trying to find a new (to us) used car, and so far it's down to a Toyota Highlander or a Lexus RX300. soooo we'll see how that goes
and that about brings us up to speed on things :)
