My proven most stressful month of the year is over, leaving a zig-zag list of highs and lows....
* Began June with a Fredonia visit, which coincided with a week-long flu-like illness.
* Auditioned for "Oklahoma", receiving yet another comedic role, Ali Hakim.
* Frantically compiled a mega-montage for a TV affiliate presentation...right before Regatta.
* Performed a special Friday the 13th edition of "Irregular Improv" with MSI.
* Spent an entire week of late nights editing the annual Cardboard Boat Regatta TV special.
* Asked to try out for "Evita", later landing the principal role of Che Guevara.
Lessons learned:
* Demand more help during major editing projects, or you just won't get any (sleep).
* Less improv and less dinner theater make David much happier...for now.
* The role you didn't want can still be a good role, and a good time.
* The role you've always wanted is sometimes the one you weren't even looking for.
Now, on to July, starting with my attempt at a four-day weekend....
