Well, they're tearing down Hogue Hall today. Dr. Martin just sent me this sad/silly ballad about it, and reading it almost made me cry ( Read more... )

Put Tippy to sleep??! OH NO!!! That's so incredibly sad! Is it just because he's getting too old and in too much pain, etc.?

Let me know what happens. :(

The vet put him to sleep this afternoon because his kidneys were failing. He'd been sick for about a week, and Mom and Dad noticed that this time he wasn't getting better, so they took him in and got the bad news. The only option would have been to do transfusions through an IV every day (which he would have hated, and probably would have still felt miserable) and it only would have kept him alive for 2 months.

It feels weird to think that Tippy's not alive anymore...I don't really remember much about life before him.....
