stereotypes are rasist and you should work on not seeing the humor that has been implanted into your brain by american society.

But see, you're both tremendous hippie bitches if you really think that. However, I know that you don't, you're just trying to seem superior to everyone else, as hippies generally do. Lemme guess, you're both vegetarians or even worse, vegans? Daniel Tosh tells a joke where he asks the crowd if people taste like their ethnic backgrounds. "Asian people, do you eat them and then get hungry a half hour later? Mexicans, do you have to eat them with chips and salsa? Black people, come on, black people taste just like chicken. White people...alright, you don't eat white people. I don't make the rules." link (worth noting that I was really tempted to Rickroll you all) He goes on to joke about all the white people being uncomfortable that they laughed at the black joke because they thought that he was going to make a white joke too. The point is that it's comedy, dumbasses. No one is getting hurt by people making a racist joke. No one is going to die, no one is going to be injured, and if anyone's offended, they're way too fucking sensitive. ( ... )

I guess I'll reply to this too... my view on animal rights also has nothing to do with a conversation about stereotype and race. FYI, I place human rights above animal rights, eat meat, and am okay with animal testing for the advancement of the human race. Maybe next time try and figure out your points first, and make sure they are relevant. Some people find racist stereotypes funny, and that's okay for them but it is backward thinking.

Absense of "forward thinking" doesn't necessarily imply "backward thinking".

Hate to say it, but I'm happy with the status quo.
I'd rather be happy than politically correct.

I believe the basis of society is acknowledging everyone's different.
Everyone is interdependent, and needs the variations of culture to survive.
I just personally find some of the hackneyed sociological trends funny.

I feel foolish saying this, but take into example an episode of South Park last season.

It re-enacted a final round of Wheel of Fortune, and the category was "People Who Annoy You".

After revealing all of the guessed and given letters, it spelled:

N _ G G E R S.

I guarantee that everyone thinks the same thing.
But that's all right.
It's those connections from society that give us our wisdom.

No one would think the word was actually "naggers,"
Depsite how much more sense it makes in the category.

It's concepts such as that,
satirizing culture's groundwork,
that make me snicker.

You're right in that respect. When I was reading what you wrote I did imediately think the same thing, which is a result of the nature of our conversation and of society's subliminal teachings as a whole... but that fact doesn't make it right or funny. Acknowledging that we think that first and that it is a definately problem is the first step to getting over these steryotypes and becoming a less racist society. Also, acknowledging the fact that we are white and that we should constantly be feeling white guilt because our lives are, and will be, more easy because of our skin color... more doors may open for us and we'll suffer far less prejudice and oppression in everyday life. I'm taking a class on Human Biological Variation and the meaning of race, so I find this stuff facsinating.

All I said, or rather, typed was "Word". That somehow qualifies me as a
tremendous hippie bitch? I just don't find racism or cyber-bashing other people's political beliefs amusing. Seriously, fuck you. Way to be an arrogant asshole.

And by the way, I eat my fucking meat and I like it. So screw off.

Personalized for you; if you wanna be a liberal hippie douche, at least do your homework. It's not fucking american society that implants these "racist stereotypes" in our brains. It's the people that perpetuate them. How the fuck would the stereotypes have come about if they weren't rooted in reality? People don't make shit up for the sake of hearing themselves talk, although in your case, I guess you do. "...work on not seeing the humor..." Seriously? Are you batshit crazy, bitch? If I didn't see humor in dumb little stuff like that all my life, I would have shot up my middle school, and that's a promise. But unlike you, I didn't take my life seriously enough to get pissed off about dumb shit that isn't worth my attention. I'm fortunate enough now that there's an entire internet of tubes between us so that I can vent my rage and not get sent to the principal's office and given detention for speaking the truth that someone should have told you lightyears ago. And shut the fuck up, I know that lightyears measure distance, not time, it ( ... )

And by the way; black people do enjoy watermelon and fried chicken. So do I. It's not a stereotype for me to enjoy it because people don't find it funny.

I'm not pissed off at all actually, I'm just making a suggestion for the betterment of Derek. Race isn't biologically real, it is just perpetuated by society... supporting stereotypes just furthers this perpetuation. American society IS made up of people (according to dictionary.com: "a body of individuals living as members of a community"), so I don't really see what you're fighting me about? Also, please think of a more descriptive word than "bitch" because that is really misogynistic and offensive. And I don't see what any of this has to do with my sex life, but if you feel the need to use that as a weapon, go ahead.
