Subject: Regarding your Possible Diagnosis

I just got off of the phone with your Mother. She didn't seem terribly keen about talking to me... until I mentioned my profession and our relationship... and the fact that I'm doing this free of charge, but I managed to smuggle something out of her that you might be interested in hearing.

I took the liberty of taking notes while she told me her story, and I'm convinced that she this might be the source of your DID. When you were six years old your mother was dating an American man touring Vietnam on Holiday. She said something akin to him being "the love of her life"; he even became as bold as to move in with your family for the time-being.

She went on to explain that he had temperament issues. While he didn't lay a scratch on your mother, he took his anger out on you unnoticed for a few months. When your mother saw the bruises and cuts on your body, she became suspicious, and her suspicions were correct: she witnesses one of his lashing outs and promptly broke up with him.

I'm convinced that this is the source of your trauma. Your split personality is probably angry and trying to release the pent up anger that you, yourself do not understand because you have no memories of it. You were only six, so it's only natural for someone so young to want to block the memories. I've attached an image of him. Your mother wants you to schedule an appointment with me - if you want to do it at my office, or in my apartment, or even at your house it's fine with me. Send me an email when you're ready.
